I am sure there's also a lot of naval gazing and making sure teams have their optics looking correct around similar, yet not quite as extreme situations, around the league.
According to Cam Cleeland, who was a vet on that Rams team during Incognito's rookie year, Richie was always an insane goon.

EDIT: And on another note, that was an awesome game last night. Offensive shootout that went to the very end...as expected from a Vikes/Skins game... Easily the best Thursday nighter of the year so far. Funny how out of Skins-Vikings and Oregon-Stanford, the Vikes game was the offensive thriller, and the Ducks game was the ground & pound, blowout dud.

My guess is Mike Pouncey is involved in this mess as well.

How is it that the 0-8 Jags are the least embarassing team from Florida? And its not like they don't have off the field issues either (see: Blackmon, Justin), but they just don't have locker room catastrophes like the Dolphins or Bucs.

Wow. Just a colossal dbag.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/99...012-no-charges

The report states that the volunteer told police that Incognito "used his golf club to touch her by rubbing it up against her vagina, then up her stomach then to her chest. He then used the club to knock a pair of sunglasses off the top of her head.

"After that, he proceeded to lean up against her buttocks with his private parts as if dancing, saying 'Let it rain! Let it rain!'" the report states. "He finally finished his inappropriate behavior by emptying bottled water in her face."
EDIT: Whoops. Didn't realize it had already been posted.

I guess wife beaters, bullies, rapists, etc. probably would say the same:

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/99...onathan-martin

Embattled Miami Dolphins guard Richie Incognito believed he was friends with teammate Jonathan Martin and feels "shocked" and "betrayed" by Martin's claims of harassment, a source with knowledge of the situation told ESPN.com on Friday night.

"It's probably a combination of totally blindsided and a bit betrayed," the source said of Incognito's current state. "He's shocked. He can't believe this happened and thinks it probably could have been avoided."

According to the source, Incognito viewed himself as a "tough-love older brother" to Martin. Incognito gave Martin a hard time but also was protective of the second-year player, the source said.

This is just a massive leadership failure in Miami. This guy should've been off the team last year if he was pulling this crap. The NFL needs to start taking a harder stand against sexual assault.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/99...e-philbin-says

Quote:
DAVIE, Fla. -- Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin confirmed that suspended guard Richie Incognito was investigated last year for allegedly molesting a female volunteer at the team's golf tournament.

"That incident occurred a year and a half ago," Philbin said Saturday. "We were made aware of the incident and we took immediate action."

Philbin declined to elaborate on what kind of actions were taken against Incognito. Philbin also did not reveal whether the NFL was alerted.

Colts playing the Rams this week, they need to keep Stacy in check to have a chance of winning and protect Luck from Quinn and Long. Also I've had to google who the Colts are playing about 5 times this week because the Rams are just so forgettable. They're like the Titans of the NFC

No offense, but the Rams have as many Super Bowl wins in the last 15 years as the Colts (and same number of appearances) and they're actually ridiculously similar teams in that period. Both had HOF QBs (Manning, Warner), both had great RBs (Faulk, HOFer; Edgerin, not quite) and great WRs (Issac Bruce and Torry Holt; Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison). They've also both had embarrassing drunks (Leonard Little and Jim Irsay). Both always had incredible offense but lacking defense. Both had a HOF coach (Dungy and Vermeil)

The real difference between the two franchises the last 15 years is one fleeced another team for multiple first round picks (The Rams and the RGIII trade) while the other got fleeced in one of the worst trades in recent memory (Richardson trade). Advantage: Rams.

Well the real Eagles defense appears to be back. Bradley Fletcher shouldn't mean this much of a difference to a team.

How the heck could the ref think that was in bounds by Tate?

Did anyone tell the Colts that they had the early game this week?

Down 28-0 to the Rams at the half. Very much deserved. 47 yard fumble recovery, 98 yard punt return TD, 57 yard TD pass..........big plays killing Indy. Good thing this is only one game. Embarassing effort. I still think they should have made a trade for a reciever at the deadline with Reggie Wayne out. TY Hilton is the only competent reciever.

Maybe they expect the refs will hand them the game like they did when down against the Seahawks and Texans.

LOL that is funny. The NFL issued the statement saying they blew 2 major calls that went Houston's way in that game and apologized to Indy (resulting in 2 of the 3 Houston TD's). But whatever you say.

Cant believe that the Packers are hanging with the eagles now that Scott Tolzein is the QB....a guy who had never taken an NFL snap before today. Yet i somehow have more confidence in him than that of Seneca Wallace.

Philly will still win this thing, but at least it isnt a complete blowout.
