I've had days where I was basically walking all day, and the highest I've ever got is around 35,000. I can't imagine 50,000.

I used to volunteer as part of the Crisis Management team for the Calgary Expo. It felt like I walked my feet off and was constantly on the go from open to close. For the Saturday and Sunday my step counter would usually put me around the 45-50k mark for steps, and I was absolutely bagged at the end of the Expo.

I worked at the airport for a few years and I always tried to walk wherever I needed to be instead of taking a vehicle because I enjoyed the exercise. I would do many laps between domestic A and ITB which usually resulted in 25K to 30K steps. I couldn't imagine what 50K would look like.

It’s almost 40km actually but let’s say 35. A 2km walk takes me about 25 minutes. So 4km an hour because he said his knees are cold. He’s spending 7 hours walking every day.

My biggest step count day around 30,000 was in Tokyo and that was out the door at 7am and coming back to the hotel at 11pm. and 2 theme parks!

Maybe he is Forrest Gump. the marathon version.
