I'd rather read a silly story from Locke, than read the constant pissing and moaning from Big Thief.

If you had to cast "Cardiac Infarction" as a role, Rick Bell would be the perfect choice.

You'll be uglier at that age.

Ever since I had a sleep study and got a CPAP machine I sleep much, much better.

Zopiclone helps, too.

I unfortunately had to flee the scene of the crime (there was no crime) due to having to get to work. Unbeknownst to me I was bleeding profusely from the back of my head which...caused some problems of it's own.

Namely, it made a disaster of my driver's seat which also caused some concern seeing as I had to try and explain that to the vehicle detailer charged with cleaning it and assuring them that no murder occurred.

When I got to work my receptionist assured me that I was fine. Apparently the rhyme is: "If its all red and no gray then you're okay!"

I dont know how accurate that diagnosis is, but I'm still here.
Seems about right? Brain matter is grey IIRC. No grey your're okay!

I tried melatonin for the first time a few months ago. I took it because I was very tired, and had to sleep because I had to be working and functional the next day, but knew with what I had to do the next day I would have a tough time sleeping because I would be thinking about it.

It made me feel weird. I could like feel it kick in and trying to put me to sleep but my awareness of it made for a sort of weird pseudo sleep experience. I dunno. I probably wouldn't try it again.

Ugh...they've gotta figure this Capital Gains nonsense out and that right soon.

I dont think even CHATGPT could make complaint polite.

This year is going to be a special year.

I didn't think they could top last year with the bare trust fiasco... but here we are with so many extra deadlines due to issues, capital gains issues/draft form schedule 3, administrative approach to donation receipts that isn't even legislation...

I know what you mean. I take it regularly. What I have figured out is that if I take it at least an hour before I go to bed, then it makes me sleepy and I can nod off pretty quick. Earband headphone and rain sounds as well.

When you take it too late it does weird things and I don't get a good sleep. I also wake up really sleepy.

I was listening to a podcast that talked about melatonin and he said it helps to fall asleep but not stay asleep. He recomended ashwagandha instead. I picked some up but have not tried it yet. I will report back. If I wake up.

You're right. Fiasco. Thats the best word for it. Complete and utter nonsense.

Also don't take it if you only have a few hours before you get up, you'll feel horrible in the morning

Gonna need something like Firefox, Ublock Origin(the good one)and Sponsor Block if you hate them selling you stuff mid-vid, like mattresses and web hosting.

I find melatonin does minutely help to get me to sleep, but I wake up easier during the night. Last times I took it, I'd randomly sit straight up at like 1-3AM in a sort of fight/flight mode. Almost like waking from a nightmare, but I had not been dreaming.

If you take melatonin too late, the best way to combat it for me was to sleep with the lights on. You'll feel less crappy that way. That way your body isn't also releasing a lot of natural melatonin to the stuff you took. Your body does that in darkness. TBH, I used to do this when I realized I'd be sleeping less than 5 hours. Less groggy that way.
