is it guaranteed drop on T6?
Also, for those getting the expansion. What are you gonna do first? Play an existing character to lvl 70 and unlock adventure mode? Start a new game with the Crusader?

The body parts scale from a 25% drop on T1 to a 50% drop on T6.
I got a decent Strength hellfire ring on the weekend so my plan is to just start a level 1 Crusader and play through on story mode in T1 most likely.

Yeah the days of the MP10 100% drop rate are over, seems pretty silly to me making it harder to get now than before.

I will be playing my Wizard or DH to 70 and then starting a Crusader. I don't have a Hellfire Ring, but I do have Cain's armor, so there is the nice bonus from that.

I'm taking a risk but I booked off Wednesday and a couple of friends and I are playing when it opens at 10PM MST. I'm leveling my Barb, then we have a DH and a wizard. The plan is to run Act 5 in normal and burn through it and get to Bounties at the highest level we can run. Hopefully the servers are stable.

If they were to announce ladder this week I would start hardcore barbarian or crusader on ladder I think. Otherwise I'll stick with my barb, new skills might be fun but the new set bonuses seem very game changing. One set allows Furious Charge to use all runes. That seems like it could be extremely fun. One makes leap create earthquakes and IK's lets ancients last until they die (instead of the short timer). So I think they're definitely making more combinations viable. And good thing is if it does get boring I'll be able to find a ton of strength stuff that means making a crusader shouldn't be difficult.
And as for the possibility of ladder, there have been tweets or whatever released by the game developers of them "studying" ladders in a hardware shop so either they are being really big #######s or they are at least considering implementing it at one point.

Oh yeah and did anyone hear about the bug yesterday where players lost all their items momentarily? Not a huge deal as all you had to do was to make a new game...unless of course you were hardcore and didn't realize. More than a few hardcore characters were lost yesterday, does make me second guess going hardcore (also my internet isn't the greatest).

I have 3 of the new IK set. Really want the 4th to have permanent Ancients. was thinking that with the rune that their hits generate fury would give my barb pretty much unlimited fury to spam hammers or something.
I think I'll probably play through act 5 with my monk, get it to 70 and unlock adventure mode, hopefully pick up some higher level gems, and then start on the crusader using the gems and some exp gear i have saved. Wonder if you can make the new hellfire ring and level up a new Crusader with 2 hellfire rings...

Seems weird they were doing COTA runs on hardcore. COTA runs are strictly for paragon leveling. Why not do it on a regular character?

Paragon levels are separate between hardcore and softcore.

Wow, I didn't know those were valuable, I think I have 2 of them.
Good for you. Guess I should have checked out the AH.

There's a huge discrepancy between them. Some wouldn't be worth 100 thousand gold and well one has sold for over $10,000 real dollars. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/7199403332

Exactly why I haven't bothered with a hardcore character. One would think the server issues alone would be cause to not bother, but there are so many ways for you to lose your character that are completely out of your control. I bet you see a lot of HC characters die when the expansion hits and the servers inevitably go down

Agree to an extent. Server issues are definitely a problem. But the difference in gameplay is huge. Slower and more methodical, with a different slant on survivability versus DPS is important.
Nothing like the gut rush of HOLY SHYTE as you are swarmed and you survive something.
Not sure I would play HC to the extreme higher levels, but it IS a rush playing it. And so what if you lose a mid level char... build another.

Hardcore is definitely the most fun way for me to play the game. I got almost too used to allowing myself to die on high monster powers when I wasn't playing on Hardcore. Death wasn't too much of a penalty like in Diablo 2 and losing experience. It's way more intense and you have to pay more attention to your surroundings.
