If you watch the clip someone posted on here, either "that's an elbow" is hundreds of syllables long or he's singing to the ref. You can hear and see him yelling at the ref for a while. All of the fans that were there on this board heard it too

Unless he's got a legendary stutter
Nah, while that's an elbow was somewhere in his discussion with the ref so were conversations around the refs mother, incest, genetic abnormalities, sisters, IQ and other things.

I think with the division changes next season, everyone is going to find out what an average team the Canucks really are. Right now, they are the best of a bad bunch in this division, but next year they will have to fight tooth and nail.
Maybe it will make them raise their level, but I would wager that they fold under the pressure instead. In fact, if they are still in denial, I would love to see if we could use the St.Louis and/or Pitts pick to trade for their 2014 1st rounder.

Still complaining about the officiating? Has there ever been such a thing as a rightful contender to any sports championship that was swept in four games under any circumstances? The Canucks simply aren't good enough to win the Stanley Cup end of story.

Talk around these parts has shifted to the state of the franchise. Not a lot of talk of the call anymore and as I said yesterday, I think that was just the emotion running its course. No one claimed that was the reason they lost the series.

..Well, that just ain't true. I've seen a lot of Canuck fans claiming just that.

The series? Maybe the game they're blaming it on. I would say 95 percent of Canuck fans that I've come across aren't blaming the series on one call. Not even close.

Daniel and Henrik seem to be hanging their hat on that in their interviews. Maybe because it was just after the game, but they lost that series and their focus is still on that one call.

One call no, but the conspiracy against the Canucks (and all Canadian teams, according to the most ignorant). They blame the loss on the 3:1 ratio of penalty calls against them. Maybe they should look at how they played (got outplayed) in those four games, and the penalty numbers will look less cooked.
The idea that penalties assessed should be nothing but even is ridiculous.
You employ guys like Burrows, you can expect to be at the top of most officials watch list. Entirely self-induced pain.

That's no the impression I got. I heard one of them even specifically say something about how the series was not lost because of that call. I think the players know that the call was just a small distraction from a much greater problem.

Just listened to an audio clip and direct quote from Daniel was "we didn't lose the series on that call."
So you might have mis heard something. He complains about the call for sure, but never blames the series on that one call.

He was very clear - he said we did not loose on that call, but it was a BS call and then explained why it was a bs call. Perfectly reasonable response right after losing.

Gillis: Five years ago we came in here and reset this organization and it's time to do it again.
