Detroit is a dirty team. Late hits all over the place.

That is a stupid rule.

Even though all scoring plays are reviewed he should still be able to throw the challenge flag and challenge that the player was down.

This was from Mike Pereira

Quote:
There's a reason the NFL put this rule in. Just like a scoring play, the league purposely changed a rule to save the coaches from having to challenge a turnover so they would not risk losing a challenge and a timeout. The league was very clear in explaining to coaches that if they were to throw the challenge flag when they were not entitled to, they would be charged with a 15-yard penalty and the play would not be reviewed.

It's no different than throwing the challenge flag when you are out of time outs or if it inside of two minutes.
A similar play happened in the Ari-Atl game. Bad call by the refs, but it would have been corrected if Detroit hadn't screwed up.

Yup, he was taking first team snaps at practice today. Smith has been cleared by docs apparently. Insane if this is the case.

I've been watching this game mostly sans-volume but now inside 2 minutes I turn it up, of course Simms says something stupid.

"If Stafford had stepped into that...." He threw it 60 yards!

So if Kaepernick goes out this week and throws 3 picks and is awful, then what? Going back to Smith if Kaepernick plays poorly would be terrible too because the second Smith isn't playing well, its right back to Kaepernick. Harbaugh would have been smarter to stick with Smith on a short leash. If this backfires Harbaugh deserves a ton of blame for messing with a Super Bowl calibre team.

Matt Flynn had a greater game than Aaron Rodgers ever had...I didn't see the Packers going with Flynn after that.

Stupid Pettigrew but I guess it helps get a better draft pick and they weren't likely to make play-offs anyways.

Horrible play calling by the Texans costs them the game right there. Play for the kick and see where it gets you?

Especially since we know our kicker doesn't have 50+ range. Terrible decision making, should have kept driving.

Without Andre's TD last week the Texans could be looking at back to back ties. Strange day all around.

Did Detroit actually just try a 47 yard FG on thrid down? Really? According to ESPN gamecenter, they did. Shouldn't that get a coach fired?
