That is more an indication of Edm sucking than it says anything about Calgary.

Hah, i knew this would happen. Buono loves signing import OLinemen and it doesn't matter how much it will cost him. It just happens that Ben Archibald is the best linemen available.

I'd say Big Ben last couple of years has been the best in the league but just the best available.

Paid attendance for Labour Day was 34559, while McMahon seats 35650. Labour Day almost always sells out!
In other news, the dirty Riders will not go forward with their new domed stadium without federal help. Good! Let the city / province pay for it...

That also means Quebec City won't be getting an NHL arena anytime soon with Federal funding. And none of the Canadian NHL teams that want new arenas will get help either including Calgary and Edmonton.
It also means that any of the other CFL teams that want new buildings won't get any help either.
Actually I should rephrase that. When Quebec City got denied it was evident that nobody else would get funding either. CFL or NHL. I'm split. I don't think the Feds should help out the NHL because it is such a huge business. CFL on the other hand I think should get help. Team payroll in CFL is probably barely above player average salary in NHL.

Is it true that Buono signed QB Jarious Jackson for $140K a season to be Travis Lulay's backup? Wow, that is so absurd. How in the heck BC Lions can fit in on the salary cap with a ridiculous amount of money on one guy? He signed Ben Archibald for $90K a season. I wonder how will Travis Lulay react to this if he is making less money than their backup?

Thats what I heard, but TSN says it is for about $130,000 a year. I heard they were looking to sign Kerry Joseph if Jarious Jackson went elsewhere.
