I wish Jim Carey would be the new manager. He's hilarious, sadly he's too big for the show and his character was a weirdo. He'd be perfect though in my opinion.
When the show ended I was sitting there going, "wait, isn't this the finale?" I mean, there wasn't any resolution, OR a cliffhanger, so it just felt like another week's episode. Tune in next week to see how they pick a manager, except next week is next fall. Other than what I felt was an abrupt ending, I thought the episode was pretty good. I liked Creed's plans for his own paper company.
Also, I think Jim will of course be the new boss, although a lot of characters seem more annoyed with him lately, and it seems like he would have to cut down on the pranks if he was Dwight's supervisor.

I disagree, Jim Carey the goaltender had his moments, but was nothing special.
Jim CarRey the comedian, is pretty cool though. (Not just picking on you, I've seen this 3 times this week...)
In all seriousness, the episode seemed to drag. I actually really liked James Spader, but the episode was slow just to get to a hook we all knew was coming.
Creed was fantastic.
This show jumped the shark a long time ago though. And that's probably part of why Steve left.
What was with Jim Carey? Did I fast forward through something? I just saw him at the end, and it was quirky, but not particularly funny.
I keep wondering the same thing. He was on for about 20 seconds that I saw and it was funny enough, I guess, but not worth the attention he's getting in this thread IMO.
Major let down with just a video clip of David Brent. I guess Gervais wasn't up for it. Spader was funny. Carrey was funny. I thought Kevin was really funny in this episode. Nothing on the horizon looks that interesting. Show needs a major shake up or just to be canceled. I wonder how ridiculous they can make it before I'll stop watching.

As you can see, I'm completely ridiculous.
If Dwight wrapped up like a Mummy/burn victim is considered the straight man, than how can someone top him, and be the comic foil?
Finally checked out the episode yesterday, and it was okay I guess. Haven't really watched most of season 7, but I actually found the regular cast to be less funny than the guests in the finalie (Creed, Dwight, and Daryl aside). James Spader was easily the best part, but I did enjoy the other special guests (aside from Kathy Baker, and her "best friend").
Also I have always disliked Phyllis, but she was just plain irritating in that episode.
