ya that plus money from selling a few from the group of keane, pav, bentley, kranjcar should be more than enough to cover a striker

and the only from that group I would really miss is Niko, but he just isn't getting any playing time

actually just looking at that

I think they are all ready probly above 30m

it seems all the English clubs get the biggest share for tv revenue, Liverpool made almost 29m euro's without even making the KO stages, Chelsea made 32m and were knocked out in the first KO stages

I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but I wouldn't mind holding onto Pav for now. He's good for depth when we have injuries. But yeah, Bentley and Keane can go away.

and with Twente losing and locked in to that 3rd spot to get in the Europa, and they have games on the saturday, tuesday, saturday the week they play Spurs

they may rest some players for the Spurs game, need a win to guarantee 1st because I don't see Inter not beating Bremen

and finishing 1st is massive for their opponent in first KO stage

The problem is Shakhtar doesn't play Partizan. Arsenal does. They need a point against Braga, which they should be able to do at home as they are very good at home.

But yes if they get that point playing in the next round may become extremely difficult.

I can't see Arsenal losing or getting a draw at the Emirates against Partizan

ya my bad, I knew that too just typed it wrong

either way ya its a must win for them, and they need help in the other game

although with quite a few big names potentially finishing 2nd, its going to make for some great 1st round KO matches

although last year there were a few good ones as well, not just good matchups but high profile I mean

Man U/AC Milan
Chelsea/Inter

right now Inter Milan, AC Milan, and Arsenal all sit 2nd in their groups and we could see some like that again

he got injured so it wasn't expected

ref giving him a yellow was a joke, almost as bad as giving the pen

I only started watching right after Jenas got hurt, so I didnt see the rest of it. I didnt even see how Jenas got hurt, I just saw that the sub wasnt ready to come on.

But still, Jenas was on the ground for quite a while, easily long enough to get stripped off and ready at the touchline.

Just saw the highlights, he pulled a Paul Robinson!!

Also, I dont understand why that penalty was controversial, he put his hand up and made contact. If he had kept his hand down and it hit his head, theres no problem, but he brought his hand up deliberately and contacted the ball, its a pretty clear handball in the box, hence penalty.

And now highlight guy is saying the exact same thing I said. Clear penalty because he raises his arm outside his body shape.

haha ya, just like Robbo vs Croatia a few years ago

it was controversial because usually on a point blank situation like that where the player is defending himself they don't give it, it didn't stop a shot on goal because as you say if he didn't put his elbow up it hits him in the head. It wasn't intentional, thats how I am used to it being called, but I am sure if it was the other way around I would want it called

the writers I have on twitter, and the BBC and Sky live texts both said it was controversial

I would love this United score line to stay the same and have them draw Barca or Madrid next round

Yeah, I dont see it as controversial though, it looked pretty standard.
