I have no problem with Loungo in goal next game. He's our best chance to win...I for one can actually take off the homer glasses and admit this

I would think the #1 seed gets the late 9pm game, I can't see them sending the #1 seed to UBC!

Thanks!
One question though- where did you find/hear this info?

Agreed. We can all go back to despising Lou after the Olympics. And him being a Canuck is about 80% of why I don't like the guy.

Actually you are right. I don't care who starts in net. In actuality i've wanted bingo bango to start since the beginning and Burrows to be on the team.
Not really a team finland fan. Just a really big Kipper fan. Goooo Finland!
and trust me I WILL NOT jump back on the Canada bandwagon.

Yup. Cheering for the logo on the front, not the name on the back.
That said, time for Babcock to leave Iginla on the first line and stop micro-managing the game.
Whatever, nobody said this would be easy. Go Canada Go!!!

there is no number 1 seed, there is a 5th seed as the highest
the UBC game will probly be Belarus/Switzerland just based on not having Canada/Slovakia and one of Sweden/Finland/Czechs

Shots and scoring chances were 2:1 for Canada. This is what happens in one-off match-ups.

Canada always plays in the 4:30 slot no matter what.

Play should have been called dead before the third US goal for a goalie interference call as well.

Yes I meant the 5th seed Tuesday (which is the #1 seed that day) and the real #1 seed on Tuesday

You mean like the Canucks? Other than the Sedins, it's a team of 3rd and 4th liners.

Jesus.

It's funny how quickly people forget that the entire playoff run the talk was how weak Fleury was looking and that the Pens were winning in spite of him. He shaped up for the Cup finals, but there's lots of goalies that can play very good for 1 series out of 4. There's only a handful of teams good enough to still win in spite of it.
I like whoever referenced him "outdueling" Cam Ward in the conference finals too. It's really tough to outduel a guy who allowed 20 goals in a 4 game sweep.

Brodeur is the greatest goalie ever to play the game.... but in a tournament like this you need the best goalie right now. Much like Brodeur took over in 2002 and carried us to gold, we need to pass the torch to the most suitable candidate right now.
Luongo is playing more predictably right now than Brodeur who looks like he's trying to do too much. Just stop the ones you should and our team should take care of the rest.
Added bonus: If Luongo goes in and we don't win gold, CP will get to blame him for years to come.

OK, here's what I've figured out so far. The 1, 2, and 4 seeds are up in the air. USA will be either 1 or 2. Russia is 3 no matter what. Seeds 5 through 12 are decided.
If FIN wins in regulation:
Seeds:
1 - Finland (on goal differential)
2 - USA
3 - Russia
4 - Sweden
5 - Czechs
6 - Canada
7 - Slovakia
8 - Switzerland
9 - Belarus
10 - Norway
11 - Germany
12 - Latvia
Matchups on TUE:
CZE/LAT, CAN/GER, SVK/NOR, SWI/BEL
Assuming the favorites win, matchups on WED:
FIN/SWI, USA/SVK, RUS/CAN, SWE/CZE
------
If SWE wins:
(in all probability)
1 - USA
2 - Sweden
3 - Russia
4 - Finland
5 - Czechs
6 - Canada
7 - Slovakia
8 - Switzerland
9 - Belarus
10 - Norway
11 - Germany
12 - Latvia
Matchups on TUE:
CZE/LAT, CAN/GER, SVK/NOR, SWI/BEL
Assuming the favorites win, matchups on WED:
USA/SWI, SWE/SVK, RUS/CAN, FIN/CZE
----
Think I got that right. From a CAN standpoint, if FIN wins vs. SWE, the path to the gold medal game is likely:
GER->RUS->USA->GMG
If SWE wins:
GER->RUS->SWE->GMG
