Darren Pang is an OK dude on the panel unlike Nick the "dumb ass".

exactly....we have a long road to travel yet...the lines in the finals are what is going to make the difference. I hope that we win today by no more than 3 goals. We need to keep these guys hungry and not to confident...

I'd hope they don't wait till Thursday. I'd like to see them try it out in the halfway mark. This tournament is too short to give lines several games to try to click. Norway is a team that you can experiment against and they should take that opportunity while they have it.

Ugh, why did they bring Kypreos and Principe to the Olympics? They add nothing to the TSN broadcast group.

Hopefully the team will come out flying in the second period. They had some good chances, but need to start putting them away

Full marks for Norway. They will get worn down as the game goes on, but they won't quit.

I'd like to see the Norwegians pop an early goal in the 2nd.

Not because I want them to win, but because it will really set the stage for an exciting final 40.

Are y'all new to this Team Canada thing? They always make some guy we've never heard of look like Vladislav Tretiak.

There must be a cancer in the locker room...

My brother's coworker's cousin owns a moving company in Anaheim. Apparantly he once moved a security guard that works at the Honda center- security guard said Getzlaf has a big attitude.

I'm gonna start a thread.

That's why I said when they announced the team I wouldn't have picked him. He's the Canadian version of Kovalchuk.

Canada will fold if Norway scores.

There I said it.

Well, they will fold if Babcock thinks Iginla is best suited for the 4th line. Or Toews.

I hope Canada loses just 'cause they didn't pick Phaneuf in the team.

That would make the game pretty exciting. Especially if it's a bad one, it might also mean Luongo will be a bench warmer for the rest of the tourney which would be an added bonus.

edit: FYI - I'm not just blindly hating here. Luongo's good - world class even - but he's not the best on this team.

Principe is really an odd selection to throw out there for Canada games on the national network, no less.

Its the equivalent of putting Don Taylor as the host of Olympic primetime (they tuck him away for the morning/early aft).

Both have a horrible schtick when they get going.

So far Iginla is the Brandon Prust of Team Canada. 4th line minutes, doesn't play the PP doesn't play the PK.....

Its obviously very early and if they win it doesn't matter

But quite frankly I think its ridiculous

I think a line of Nash-Crosby-Staal would be the type of line Canada needs. Crosby feeding two snipers. C'mon Babcock, make it happen.
