Below is a link providing speculation....
http://toronto.bluejays.mlb.com/news...=.jsp&c_id=tor
"The Blue Jays will announce subsequent roster moves to replace Ryan and Romero on their active roster on Friday. At Triple-A Las Vegas, right-hander Jeremy Accardo is a potential candidate to be promoted to Toronto's bullpen and left-hander Brett Cecil will likely be called up to move into Romero's slot on the starting staff"

Great 5-2 win today! Downs with the save.
They've taken five series in a row to start the season, and are now 12-5.

Finally, I get to watch the closer come out and not have to panic for th next fifteen minutes.
Rios, Wells, Overbay and Barajas heatin' up now too. This line-up has some depth now.

Very good to see Rios belt one. I don't understand this team, but also refuse to look a gift horse in the mouth. How have they won 5 straight series but not had a single sweep?

Yup woohoo! Another series win!
This weekend will the first test in Chicago. Good thing Halliday is pitching Sunday.
2 out of 3 would be great!

they also have yet to lose two in a row. Amazing what a team can do with no expectations.

Does anyone know why sportsnet west is showing the Twins - Indians (neither team is from the West) tonight, while Sportsnet Ontario and Pacific are showing the Jays game.
Sportsnet is so frustrating sometimes.

Sportsnet wants you to buy their package of five stations... But yeah, the Jays should always take precedence on all networks.

I think it might be some anti-trust optics, but sucks for fans to not see the team on the "home" network.
How much is it to add the other sportsnet stations to my cable package? Are they going to keep this up all summer?

I like it. There is more to the MLB then the Jays. Too bad they didn't do it when Canada's original home team was around.

Well, there's more to the NHL than the Flames, but if Sportsnet/Fan960 preempted a flames game for a Rangers/Wild game then I'd go off the deep end.
Same deal here, the network that claims to be the home of the Jays is choosing not broadcasting the Jays.

There are lots of avenue's for hardcore fans to see other ball games. For a fan of the Jays first and baseball second, like most fans...we want to see the Blue Jays. I could care less about the Twins vs. Indians, and their ratings for those games should reflect that others feel the same.

Very true. But we aren't talking about the Calgary Blue Jays.

The average person has limited ways to watch baseball (legally). Sportsnet West's broadcasts, Fox on the weekend, and whatever scraps the CBC and TSN pick up - if they are picking up games this year. I'm not going to be too upset if I can only watch 125 Blue games games instead of 145. One of my biggest complaints about Roger's pretty good coverage of baseball was their total lack of concern with the rest of the league, save for the odd west coast game.
As for the ratings. Sportsnet Wests will get as many hits from my BBM monitor for Jay games as they will for non-Jay games.

Good outing by Tallet, 5 2/3 innings on 92 pitches. Big lead like this they can let a guy like Murphy throw a couple innings in relief. The Jays are just killing Central Division pitching this year.

Bautista just homered, 14-0 Jays. Sylvan you were right about Murphy pitching, he looked good, got out of both innings with no runs scored, struck out a couple, definitely some big league stuff.
How bout 'dem jays?

Here's the Sportsnet schedule. Looks like Rogers carries 124 games on Sportsnet Ontario, 123 on Pacific and 99 in the West and East.
http://toronto.bluejays.mlb.com/tor/...t_schedule.pdf
Edit: TSN is carrying 20 games starting in June and 16 games aren't shown anywhere. That doesn't add up to 164 though?

Last night's game was awesome. What I find pretty neat is that they're not pounding the ball out (don't have the stats on that), but just getting solid line drives and hits deep into the gaps. Moreover, baseball managers always make stupid pitching changes endlessly, and to Cito's credit, he makes his changes brilliantly, without using every guy every game. Just 2-3 pitchers a game...nothing unnecessary. And they're first in the majors. Looking really nice.
