I hear the ratings are average but the only hope for the series might be the PVR numbers. I think MMF posted an article about the PVR ratings for TSCC is quite high

I think FOX creates new Sci-Fi shows just to cancel 'em. They enjoy it.

From what i understand, ratings went from average in season 1 to abysmal in season 2. I'll try to dig up some numbers.
First season viewership : 11.4 million viewers per episode.
Second season viewership : 4.6 million viewers per episode.
as per the wiki

I wonder how acurate the Wiki numbers are, but it's a shame, either way, considering, so far, the 2nd season seems much better than the 1st. It is a weighted average though, and is likely twisted a bit by the pilot being a big draw at first, the writer strike and Terminator debuting when nothing else too new was on TV, and the shortened season compared to this lengthy one.

I think there was budget cuts, with 3 main characters biting it within 2 weeks.

Its a shame, it was solidly written and was well acted, but it seems like the firefly effect has kicked in again.
I doubt we'll get any closure next week.

Wow, I'm completely in shock after that episode. I never saw that coming.
I will be so po'd if they cancel this show for good.
It was such a good episode, but I was really sad that happened.
Brutal lessons for John, one after another.

Yeah, I don't get into TV very much anymore (watch hockey and that's pretty much it). The last series I got into was The Wire. So it's been awhile. I really like this show so It'll be quite dissapointing if it does in fact get the axe.
As for the last episode...it was pretty good. Pretty much most of this season has been rock solid minus a couple fillers at the beginning. Too bad (spoiler ahead in white text) Derek is gone though, really liked him in this series...that was like the most random death of a main character ever. Highly unexpected...

I'm on episode 4 of Season 2... The only thing about the show I don't like so far is that the characters seem to just randomely get into situations to push along the plot. Cameron, for instance, being put in jail for... running into a watermelon pen at the supermarket? Sarah and Cameron getting jobs at a nuclear power plant where the guards are armed with assault rifles... A lot of good ideas, and interesting character development, but it's hard to look past that stuff sometimes. I just hope the writing gets tighter as the season goes on.
Also, without Cameron's character this show wouldn't be nearly as good. She carries the show.
