Great game. Gerrard and Riera looked really good.
I'd be surprised if that Red held up on Friedel. It was pretty harsh. I expect they will recind the card. Definite penalty, but not a sending off. He played the ball.
too bad for the international break. We're flying high right now!

Locke, cool to see you finally show up to OTR. Even though you're in Red Deer, you gotta try and make it down one day Jagger.

OTR was fun, I'll have to try and make it back there again.

They're appealing, and we should find out tomorrow whether it's rescinded or not. I hope so, as we'll want them to have him against the Mancs. I wonder if Rafa called O'Neill into the dressing room to talk some tactics for next game?
Now, it's tough to say whether this is simply a streak, or Liverpool returning to the form they had at the beginning of the season, and at the end of last year, but right now it's feeling like something seriously awesome can happen here.
Still being in the FA cup, I'd say that United have the slightly more difficult schedule, but Mr. Ferguson has stated that winning all 5 competitions this year is unlikely, so I don't see him fielding much of a squad for FA cup competition at this point. Villa can at least draw United, and then they're just 2 points away from reachable. With their recent form, I can see them dropping points something nice.
Liverpool on the other hand, are going to Craven Cottage on April 4th to face the Fulham side that recently took out the She-Devils. Fulham have done much better this year than last, especially at home, including an unbeaten streak running for all of October, through to the end of February. They even drew Chelsea recently, and not 0-0 either, managing to get 2 past Petr Cech. Luckily for us Reds fans, their home form has diminished slightly, losing their first 3 home matches this month. Fortunately they decided to end the month on a good note (I think any Fulham fan who made it out to The Cottage that day will never, EVER forget it). 10:30am MST kick-off.
Oh, and sorry for not mentioning you my last post 'shotdowninflames'. All are invited to OTR. Membership is optional although recommended. It's always a blast to watch games however, and the breakfast is good. Let's keep this going Reds!

Freidel's Red card was rescinded today so he is available to play against the Mancs. Good job too as that was a really poor decision to send him off. Penalty, yes. Card, no.
Here's hoping that he plays a stormer against that lot.

Benayoun update! The Wizard played for his country on the weekend, eventually hurting himself in the 76th minute. The GOOD news is it's not serious. The BAD news is, it's good enough that he might even play for Israel again on wednesday. Hopefully he doesn't get hurt in THAT game.

Good to hear, unfortunately it looks like Sammi's down with a knee injury.

So I normally post in the Newcastle thread, but it seems all but dead so I figure I'd post here. I am going to head to the Mags vs. Chelsea game tomorrow just to see some talented world-class players (on Chelsea of course!)
I wanted to try and make it to a Liverpool match but unfortunately I won't be able to until maybe later in the season.
If you guys could pick a kit of any player on Liverpool, who would it be? I'm thinking of grabbing one before I come back to Canada. I know Gerrard is a stud but it would be fun to see some good options from CP faithful!

^^^Gerrard or Torres are obviously the easy, and really good, choices but funnily enough I'd take Hyypia. Great long time servant of the club. Of course I had an Alan Hansen jersey in the 80's so perhaps I'm biased towards the Centre-Halfs.

I have a gerrard jersey already, so I'd probably go with an Alonso one now. Carragher would be a top one for me as well.

I'd get a Benayoun or N'Gog one right now, and I'd consider Skrtel (of course that's after all the other aforementioned choices already).

After the 4 woodworks I really thought it's wasn't going to be our day then the first really late chance that Yossi missed. Friggin' hell! "There's the title, gone" were my first words after that chance went begging. Then we had the really really late show by Yossi!!!!
Unbelievable. They deserved that one and I'm really starting to believe that perhaps the Reds are fated to win this! The Mancs have got to be feeling the pressure now.

Yeah...I woke up, turned on the TV, and it was the 85th minute. I was excited that the Villans had managed to hold it. United were ALL over them though. Both Liverpool and United pull one off late. Definitely still not over though.

Well, that's a load of crap. 3-1 to the Blue Scum. Non existent marking today it seemed.
Time for another 4-1 win I guess like at Old Toilet.
