Oh I don't necessarily think it's right that UT will leap 'Bama, but unfortunately polls are based on what have you done for me lately.

No...but neither defense looked capable of doing much of anything yesterday.

I qualified the question with I havent watched a whole lot of Big 12 this year other than seeing the top dogs. I take it you believe that may of them have gooddefenses....question answered.
Many of them no. OU and UT yes. Honestly that's what separates them from the rest of the conference.

So if 'Bama, UT, Penn St. and Brigham Young finish undefeated who gets in? UT has the toughest Strength of Schedule ranking, Bama plays in the SEC and Penn St. has been walloping some good teams. I think BYU would be the first one out because their schedule makes them an unknown. This isn't going to happen but just speculation on my part we would probably end up seeing a UT-'Bama Championship and if Penn St. wins in their bowl than hoepfully the BCS system will get scratched.

they have?...I dont disagree they have looked good but there schedule has been soft...for lack of a better word. Coastal Carolina, Temple, Syracuse, Purdue...not the cream of the NCAA.

I dont really ahve a problem with the rankings except this....how does Florida go past USC? Both have one loss....Fla at home, and USC on the road. Makes no sense.

Yeah I guess I am having a short term memory of them walloping Wisconsin last night and even then Wisconsin has not turned out to be the team everyone thought they would be.

Don't forget Penn State's 45-14 thrashing of Oregon State. You know, that team that beat USC...

Sure.... I remember that quite well thanks. It was at home though and obviously the beavers are a bit of anonomally as their season this far indicates.

Also....Clemson has fired Tommy Bowden as head coach this morning. No surprise at all.

I wasn't really trying to rub it in, especially since my team just lost by 30 to Florida. You just didn't have them listed as an impressive or unimpressive win for Penn State. I would consider that an impressive win, because of the sheer dominance they displayed.

As for Clemson, they seemd to have a big win every season, but then would have 2-3 losses to clowns. For a fan base that considers their team a "player," that was not good enough.

So I'm going to Nashville in a few weeks and in addition to Titans/Jets tickets, I've also scored tickets to the Vols game at Vanderbilt. This will be my first college game, what should I expect?

Good year for a Vandy game as they are better than usual. Tennessee is not so great but they are still in-state rivals. Go the stadium a couple hours early for some tailgate action. College Tailgating > Pro.

1. Alot more fun than a NFL game, more energy from the fans as they are younger and drunker.

2. Longer game by about 30 - 45 min.

3. More and better tailgating

4. If you are sitting in the weeds (ie corners, enzones top deck) there will be more to watch in the stands

5. For both games, relative to CFL games, way smarter fans. If your reference is CFL games, you'll quickly see that fans at a CFL game are about the same as fans at a florida panthers hockey game.

Depends on if they allow drinking at that stadium, but I guess they will still be drunk due to the preparty.

Bama is currently beating the piss out of Ole Miss. Hopeful they can hold on and avoid this top 5 upset string going on.
