DFF,
I think Virginia Tech is one of those schools that just produces good football players. Eddie Royal is damn good, and just what the Broncos need.
They broadcasted the game on our local channel tonight, and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Clady played well after an early penalty as well.
I rarely root for the Donkeys, but if it is between the Broncos and the Cowboys, it's Denver every time...

I see Dan Carpenter whent 4/4 for the Dolphins in their win yesterday. Some more 40+ yarders too. Good stuff.
Lex didn't get much of an opportunity and didn't seem to do much with it (strictly a boxscore conclusion) I'm thinking he's going to have to hope to get snatched up on another team's practice squad.

Lex probably would have been used even less if Ronnie Brown wouldn't have hurt his thumb. It appears to be nothing serious. For Lex, it would be good if he could land somewhere else because I don't think he will make the Fins.

49ers QB situation is more murkey today than it was at the start of the season, if that is possible.
Alex Smith needs a shorter memory - he's getting bogged down by his mistakes. O'Sullivan has looked good, but it is pre-season. Shaun Hill hasn't stood out either.
So instead of their being a 2 QB race, there is a 3 QB race.
But I never like to base who will come out on top based on pre-season games. I think this will come down to who the coaches and team has the most confidence playing with.

Same thing in Baltimore Bobble.
It seems Troy Smith has the edge, but both Boller and Flacco are in the running. I watched their game against Minnesota this week and Flacco was horrible. I would imagine they will go with either Smith or Boller....but Flacco will be the starter within a couple of seasons I'm sure.

It's time for the 49ers to get themselves a real QB, this is a proud franchise that is looking bush league waiting for Alex Smith to emerge. News flash for them, it isnt going to happen!

Kevin Curtis is out indefinitely with a sports hernia.
http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/ne...story_id=15919
Reggie Brown is also out with a hamstring injury that may require surgery. That leaves DeSean Jackson as the Eagles number one receiver. The season may be over before it begins. Eagles FO needs to make a play for Boldin. We have two first round picks in the 2009 draft plus Lito Sheppard as expendable assets. They need to make it happen.
EDIT: I swear the Eagles are cursed with sports hernias. This is the same injury that knocked McNabb out three years ago and knocked LJ Smith out last year.

And in other news, the Bengals have brought back everyone's favourite felon, Chris Henry.

Sounds like it was all Mr. Brown's idea, as I guess Marvin Lewis is very put out over this. He made comments saying "Playing in this league isn't a right, its a privilege". Looks like a rift may be forming between Lewis and the Bengal higher-ups, I wouldn't be surprised if this was his last year as HC in the 'nati.

It's too bad it won't happen. The Eagles defensive coordinator, Jim Johnson, loves using his three star corners in blitz packages and Andy Reid hates giving up draft picks. I could see the Eagles maybe sending a high pick and a couple of other conditional picks but I doubt it.

Ugh...it's frustrating cheering for the Eagles sometimes, but that's the Banner/Lurie way. Draft and develop and occasionally dabble in free agency...but you have to think something more needs to be done, especially with some of the misses at the draft the last few years.
With McNabb finally looking healthy and the promising Desean Jackson, the team may finally have had enough in house talent to make some noise again.
Here's hoping LJ has a big year and they will have to stick to the running game faithfully to have any chance by the time Curtis and Brown are back.
