From where we are building right now on the west side of the city, we can easily see the mountains. The past two days, the stuff we seen come over those mountains made the sky look like it was sick to it's stomach. Very dark grey or solid black clouds that just look so menacing. We've seen all kinds of storm systems swirling around us but only got hit once today at 2 for about 20 minutes.

With such an open sky here, it's hard sometimes to grasp how far they are, but the west part of Alberta between here and the Mountains must have seen some nasty weather over the past couple days. Those clouds are just too sick looking to not be pouring out somewhere. The speed at which they move is quite scary, too. No way to know when something could hit the city. In one sense it would be fun to be a meteorologist at this time of year here in Alberta, but it would be a nightmare trying to deliver an accurate forecast for the citizens.
