I'm not either at this point. I'm actually in awe of this whole thread. You see, I'm a casual fan. I know more about Peyton's side of the ball than the defense. But when a championship is won, and you start seeing names from that team move on... I know it's expected... but I can't help but think that its not the best thing for the team, not being able to retain these guys.
But I'll be the first to admit, I am way in over my head in this thread. Just trying to soak it all in.

I just heard D Jackson to the 49ers for a 4th.
What is with these inter division deals. How can anyone think their way thorough a deal that your division rival thinks will improve their team?

Wow, stocking up all those 4th rounders really made for good trade coin. Go Niners.

IF, and its a big if, Moss decides he wants to play, this deal is an absolute steal for the Patriots.
Obvious what Belichick was doing this year as this is about the 5th or 6th receiver/TE they have added.
Kelley Washington, Dante Stallworth, Wes Walker, and a couple others I cant recall. Add that to their pickup of Adelius Thomas at LB and this club is stacked once more.
Pats are going to be tough tough tough once again.

Yeah the Pats are going to be real tough this year. Its hard to believe that the Raiders couldn't get more than a 4th rounder for Moss. I guess NE was the only place he would go for a pay cut.

Oakland Management is simply amazing.
Just looking at their draft mistakes they could have had Lienart and Johnson. Given a proper QB, Moss might have actually wanted to stay and play too.

I love it though, nobody is more deserving than Al Davis to have an awful franchise.

Art Modell
I will at least acknowlegde Davis' contributions to making the league what it is today. I hate the guy too, but Modell is worse.

I don't know, the good people of LA and the good people of Cleveland could proabably create good arguements for both I suppose.
BTW, what's up with Denver trading their first born to move up a few spots to get that Tackle?

I think they wanted one of Harrell or Moss and when Green Bay took Harrell so early they pulled the trigger.
They gave up a boatload (relatively speaking) to move up in the sixth round too.
Kind of out of character for Shanahan. I wanted Moss all along so I'm happy, but Denver usually drafts well enough that 3 or 4 of their lower round picks end up being contributors. Ain't gonna happen this year.
Love the first two picks though.

ya, what I meant was the 6th round (or was it 5?)
I like how he picks, and I like how they have a system that makes others salivate over lower value positions (IE RB) so they can turn 4th round picks into Champ Baileys and Dre Bly's but they gamble too much with charactor. Which part of the Mo Clarett education was not obvious? Every year they seem to have one baby that blows up the dressing room. Kennison, there was a DT about 3 years ago that they kicked off the team mid-season, etc.

ugh, Moss in my dressing room. If he decides to finally shut up and play football, this may be a good deal. If not......

I would bet on him NOT being a disruption.
The team is going to be great...it's not mismanaged or poorly coached. Those are the things he's been dealing with his entire career...and he hasn't dealt with them well.
I think he gets a much worse rap than what he deserves. He's certainly no Terrell Owens IMO.
I would've been pretty happy to see him come to Denver, but I was adamant that I didn't want T.O.
Pats are the favorites to win the Super Bowl right now IMO.

I don't think he was mismanaged or poorly coached in Minnesota and he still had problems there. He certainly is not Terrell Owens, he is ten times worse. Owens may throw teammates under the bus but when the game is on he gives his all every play and does everything to help you win. Moss has already stated that he takes plays off and will pout at the first chance he gets.
He may be better behaved in NE with Brady, Belichek et al. but I wonder how he will react if they chose to make some throws to Graham and Stallworth and runthe ball with Maroney instead of all Randy all the time.
I think it will work for awhile but at some point Randy will find something he doesn't like and do something stupid.
The Patriots became successful by taking guys that fit rather than going for the top talent. I wonder now that they have made multiple decisions on guys that don't fit or have character issues if they will have that same success.
I think they are a Super Bowl favorite along with a few teams but am not sure they have any more talent than the Chargers though.

The Chargers have lots of talent.
That's not what wins Super Bowls entirely though.
New England is extremely well coached and San Diego has a coach who is a 2 time loser as a head coach. That could be the difference.
Plus, San Diego plays in a much tougher division...one which they will be runner up this year.

If there is one place he will work out it is NE.
He's not like TO ... if he is winning he is fine.
