Anyone tried WiiCade.com yet?
You go through the Wii/Opera Browser and it is Flash Games that use the WiiMote.

I think you meant WiiCade.com and yes I have tried it. The 3Dish pong game (Curveball) is pretty fun.

Good thing if you have a few minutes you've got to kill

Yah I thought I'd play with it once and forget about it, but I find myself going back to vote, check poll results, and to see if my predictions are correct.

So far I am 7-2 in my predicitions, my wife is 8-1

You're right - at least I got the link right.

I'll fix the text.

I got a 2Wire from Telus that gave me nothing but trouble at first. I finally figured out what the problem was, and also use 2Wire's Troubleshooting--Connecting the DS to the 2Wire wireless network-- to help me connect my Wii (as the connection options are almost identical b/w the handheld and console) on their website.

Once I figured it out, its been smooth sailing ever since.

TurnedTheCorner, you may want to try the Wi-Fi USB connector, I know I have seen them at Wal-Mart, but that might work better than your router. Also is your Wii more than 30 feet from your wireless gateway?

My Wii is no more than 8 feet from my router. Perfect for gaming - I actually have the wireless because my PC is in a room without a phone jack. It's probably 12 feet away and through 2 walls, and it still connects.

If the newest gateway doesn't resolve this, I will likely get the Wi-FI USB as a last resort. I'm not keen on the idea of booting up my PC to go online with my Wii.

I had similar problems. Try changing the channel on your router. That fixed my problem.

I appreciate the suggestions everybody. Half a day of troubleshooting and about a 20 minute phonecall to Nintendo tech support later, I'm posting this with my Wii. Channel 9, WPA-PSK security. Which hoops my DS connection, of course. I'm going to monkey around a bit online, then try going back to WEP. *crosses fingers*

I wonder what NHL 08 will be like for the Wii..is it even being made? Could be interesting.

Online development was not available for games developed for the Launch.

There will be some online games coming out in the coming months. I'm Really hoping that Metroid Prime 3 is one of them.

EA has committed tons of support for the Wii, so I have no doubt there will be an NHL game for the Wii in the fall of 2007

I don't know... I personally WOULD be suprised to see a Wii NHL game next year.

Graphically it would probably still be in the old gen ala Madden if it did happen.

A Wii hockey game would need ALOT of planning to be good, if they take this year and get one ready for NHL 09 I think it'd be better off.

I am a NHL series community leader and know some producers. I'll ask them down the road, but I personally would be very suprised to see a Wii NHL game in the near future.

Hopefully there's another EA NHL community day this year..

I just got my Wii yesterday, it's so much fun ... even my wife, who is not at all a gamer, loves it - she's laughing and yelling downstairs as I type ... now for some Wiimotes ...

Are the Wii's still selling out in minutes around Calgary? I keep trying every now and then, but it seems they are consistently out of stock.

Pretty much. I've read a few posts on redflagdeals and by the sounds of it, people are still lining up. I'm sure glad I grabbed on online a week after release. I never would have thought they would still be in short supply nearly 4 months since the release.
