You accuse people of making things up. You should know better.

We didn’t trade Andersson last year because we had a shot at 8 days and jet fuel. Hizzah.

The posters complaining (including me) are what the Flames have MADE us.

Repetition is the reult of failing to fix endemic issues. Sorry if it’s pedantic, but nobody is “making things up” when it comes to the ineptitude of the owner.

Rasmus hates to lose. I’ll miss him but man he will be such a good add for someone

Probably missed the great pass he made on Kadri’s goal.

There’s absolutely zero leadership.

Anderson has a step out the door more and more each day.
Kadri’s probably thinking about it too.

Weeger seems to be struggling overall ever since he didn’t make the 4 Nations roster after the campaign the Flames pushed last year.

Coleman is stuck on a line where he has had to do more than his fair share of work. He can see greener pastures.

Worst of all the captain isn’t really leading or motivating anyone, and is just playing out and floating out the string for a few more years.

This is a lost season fine, but there are more than a few parts of this franchise that are probably holding it back in the upcoming years too.
Not giving up is a great trait that a lot of these guys have, but there simply needs to be a rock solid leadership group that guys want to run through the wall for, and that simply isn’t on this team outside of a few scattered guys.

People who want to trade veterans for underwhelming returns just for a 1 in 3 shot at McKenna should read this scouting report from Elite Prospects.

“McKenna’s urgency is too low. He’s cheating for offence, gliding on backchecks, taking looping defensive routes that put him out of the play, and disengaging when the play isn’t directly in front of him. It’s the same story on the forecheck, as he regularly coasts to the puck carrier in a half-hearted attempt to angle, without ever touching the opponent.”

I’d love for the Flames to get their own Celebrini. But McKenna isn’t that player. McKenna might just be closer to a Sharangovic than he is to a Celebrini: insanely talented but plays on the periphery.

Speaking of Sharangovich, I was looking at Quinn Hughes’ draft year and it turns out Farabee and Sharangovich are 7 and 8 in points for that draft year. Just ahead of the number 3 pick.

McKenna could be a huge faller on draft day. It will be interesting to see how it plays out

Some players read their own press. To their general detriment. No idea about him, but it’s possible his ego has grown bigger than his talent.
