I feel like some posters expect a rebuild to be happy times with entertaining losses but it’s going to suck to watch and pay through as a player. Anyone who has ever worked on a project or business that is doomed to fail knows the feeling and it’s tough to put in the effort and morale sucks.

Yes, but the real rebuild starts when you start getting premium picks, and potentially elite players.
Calgary may have two in Wolf and Parekh, but they really need to hit pay dirt over the next 2-3 years.
