Clark has just taken the lead over Gar in Ward 9. Just 80 votes ahead.
The Councillor counts still have a very low percentage of polls reporting, but they said the advanced polls for the Councillor seats will be counted last, so there might be a lot of polls with only a handful of votes from each one.

We were told to count mayor first as that’s what a lot of people watch. Late night, my station counted fast and we were there till 11:30.

So the delays thus far are getting the results fed from the polling station to the central office?
Thanks for working this election, couldn't have been easy.

I believe in the Jays.

if this holds then Council is going to be really really green... is it only 3 returning incumbents (with one of them being McLean, who's a tool, and another being Wyness... who's an idiot)?

Yes. Supervisors at each location are calling results in as they count them. We were told to count mayor and call it in before counting anything else.
My central numbers were in by 11:00 and I’d say I was probably in the fastest 25%.
Thanks, long day. Long lines but everyone was mostly happy.

It looks like 4 incumbents. Chatbot and Dhaliwal too.

How does Chabot get re-elected with a minimal campaign budget election after election? Really good councilor too imo. Smart guy, cares, understands policy.

Gondek concedes. Looks like its between Farkas and Sharpe barring any surprises.

There's about 6000 votes left for each of Farkas and Sharp. The probability of sharp getting an extra 1000 votes in that context is pretty small. It's not impossible, but it's small.
At this point we can say Farkas probably is our new mayor.

I agree but are they not counting the early voting ballots tomorrow morning? There is a lot of votes left and the lead could be small.
Either way I would assume there will be some recounts happening.

I think they have already counted the advanced ballots for mayor.

About 9000 votes left between sharp and farkas. Sharp needs to flip 800 of them in a race where 180,000 votes have already been counted between the two of them.
Her likelihood of flipping this is sub-5% at this point.

Looks like Farkas will hang on with all polls reporting and about a 600 vote lead. But we'll see if Bustits tries to pull some underhanded #### to get Sharp over the line.

I guess we will finally see if Mr Lahey had it wrong, and that a #### leopard can change it's spots. I'm not convinced.
