It's so weird Bennett always accidentally injures guys. He's so unlucky! Some people are so naive. He puts a lot of force into what I see as a forearm to the side/back of the head.

Florida likes to injure players but their fans cry when it happens to them. If this is ok then any scrum in the crease I'm all over Bob. Contact with head and neck is ok apparently.

Well it wasn’t Bennett who caused it. Now it comes out it was a shot off the mask. Bennett’s elbow didn’t have any force is all I’m saying.

LOL taking some guy diagnosing by watching the game on TV and posting on Twitter. It's possible it was the mask. But that happened in the 1st period and he finished the period and started the second. After Bennett's forearm he was puking.on the bench 2 mins later...so you believe what you wanna believe.

Sure Bennett’s likely contributed, but it’s a play 99/100 times on its own is nothing. Look at it objectively. Bennett is far from a clean player. I’d say he’s fairly dirty but the play on its own is nothing even close to a penalty.

Ignore the commentary here and you can see given the circumstances it wasn’t an intentional elbow given the chase for the puck. Interference sure. Anyway, elbow itself wasn’t hard enough on its own. I really don’t like Bennetts dirtyness but this wasn’t it.

Button should be careful they don't throw him out of the club for saying it wasn't an elbow (lower glove) and that Bennett shouldn't get supplemental discipline.

The fact that it's Bennett is why people are angry. He won't be suspended because he's a psycho and hides it so well. Doesn't mean we should just brush it off. Plus you know if the Leafs retaliate they'll be suspended. So yeah, as a Leaf fan, it's frustrating. They took out the #1 goalie who had an amazing season and first round.

Panthers are a good team. Don't know why they need to injure the opposition purposely.

I’m no excuser for the guy. He’s among the most dirty ones out there I’d say. I earnestly don’t believe this one was him though. He does hide it well but when you look at it real time and notice the puck was in the slot in his vicinity you do realize the likelihood was he was trying to score and interfere more than consciously elbow. So I’d give him a pass for this one. But he’s a dirty player.

I think the scoring chance had come and gone at the time he stuck his elbow out.

This is a funny situation. Bennett is dirty. And Leaf fans are whiny and ignore their own players’ misdeeds all the time.
