It's very concerning that it's still not confirmed. You would think someone would have caught wind of this (a teammate or friend) and got ahold of him if this is false, but still don't want to jump to conclusions...

I can't stop thinking about the family. I have been on the receiving end of this kind of tragic news twice. My father was killed in a plane crash when I was 15 and my father in law died in a head on collision on the highway 10 years ago. You never totally recover from that phone call.
I have no idea if it's Johnny and Mathew, but some family received that phone call today, and it's just horrendous.

Heartbreaking. Thoughts and prayers to the entire Gaudreau family.
It would be hard enough to be going through this at any time...but even harder on the day before a wedding...and even tougher when you have two young kids
This is absolutely devastating.

Trying to decipher cryptic tweets from people chasing clout isn't going to lead anywhere productive. I would suggest people wait for an official announcement, good or bad, from the league, the PA, or either of Gaudreau's teams. Otherwise, it's probably not worth posting in here (definitely not from Tim Peel).

Why the hell would Tim Peel be one of the first "official" people to get wind of such serious news? Of course he'd be a big enough piece of crap to leak that info if he did get word of it, but still, there's few people in the hockey world I'd trust less than Peel. Still holding out hope.
