Carter Bear isn't yet getting the recognition he deserves- not by a longshot.

The one thing I kind of pause on with Bear, is that he’s a late birthday. This is his 18 year old season. Other than that, I really like him.
Anyways, I’m derailing the thread lol

Eric Jamieson is a very intriguing prospect. His scoring and playing profile is... weird?
Bruising shutdown dman who just seems to be in the right spot to score goals while generating a tonne of shots on net for a Dman. Jumps into the play often, but isn't a high level skater either.
He's an intriguing one to keep an eye on for a late round pick.
Some goal highlights from last year.

long write up on Gridin on NHL.com. Hope this isn't a re-post.

“I think the big thing is just more games played,” Edwards said. “He’s going to get a ton of reps. As much as you love players in NCAA because of the ability to train and build their bodies, one of the things with Matvei is … getting as many reps as he can at that level to prepare for the next level. It's one of the things we always talked about with Mat was, it's really hard to develop when you're only playing 34 games.
“I think that was a big thing for Matvei too, just continue to play a bunch of games, learn the pro schedule, learn how to adjust mid-week, mid-game, be able to learn from a game, get to work the next day on it, and then be better the next game. It's really hard to do that when you have a whole week off and you sort of have to reset every week. We just thought for Matvei it was very good to be able to play in the CHL.”

Interesting player for sure. Seems to really lean into his wrist shot and I like how he used his reach on a couple of those plays in close. Co-captain of his team, big and physical as you mentioned. Would be great to find a gem in the late rounds.

I think I posted it in another thread, but the Flames’ coaches LOVE Jamieson. In one of the videos from camp, when Conny asks who stood out, Jamieson is one of the players mentioned.

Would be nice to have a few prospects in the WJC. I haven't watched in several years because of the lack of Flames prospects.

There will be a lot of good players at every position who won't make it. Encouraging for Canada in future best on best tournaments that there are 4 or 5 goalies getting some attention. Maybe one will be ready by 2030 Olympics

Too bad no Mews.
Could you imagine having half the Team Canada blueliners being Flames prospects?
Haha

Mews is young too, he probably gets on the team next year.
But if Mews continues on at this rate maybe he still has a chance.

Parekh with a quick 2 points in a 4-0 pounding 10 minutes in, including a masterpiece of a goal created by him circling the net with the puck and then having great patience at the blueline. Also set up a 2 on 1 for the first goal with excellent patience before a nice pass
Battaglia with an early assist in his game as well, setting up a 2 on 1

Now Mews just picked up his 7th of the season on the PP.
Just an embarrassment of riches in the Flames pipeline on defense
