One of the things to love about Wolf is his competitiveness when it comes to break-aways. I believe he has said he enjoys the shoot-out and it will be fun to watch him in one of those in the NHL.

I like a team that is having fun together. That ritual looks like they are having fun. Bodes well for the Flames future this year, not to mention longer term.

How does this bode well for the longer term? Any effect that these sorts of rituals appear to have also tend to be short lived. Does anyone else remember Purple Gatorade?

Wasn't purple gatorade 3 guys, 2 of which are gone? Or was there more to it?

The ritual was long-gone before any of the three participants. This one is also only a couple of guys.

Did COVID kill the Gatorade thing or had they already stopped doing it before that?

Pretty sure they stopped the following season because they all started to suck and got split up.
Covid had no impact on it.

...we're still not talking about Zary enough.
He's scoring at a 61.5 point pace over 82 games (12 pts in 16 games).
Johnny Gaudreau's rookie season? 64 points (65.6 point pace). Matthew Tkachuk put up 48 points (51.8 point pace).

Hope that's not a bug that's going to go through the whole team.

Shooting 25% and has a 12.8% on-ice shooting percentage which isn't the most sustainable thing in the world...but he has been really impressive so far.
I'd say more comparable to Gaudreau's rookie season though due to his age...Tkachuk's was his Draft+1 and an 18 year old season so a bit different too.

I always remember it as ending after the 2019 All-Star Break. Or at least it's always connected in my mind with that whole "what the h@ck happened there that took the season off the rails?" mystery about the 2019 All-Star Break.

Maybe not sustainable shooting #'s but what is sustainable is his mature game and puck management, which are far exceeding what you see in the majority of rookies.

Fitting that Coleman got the game winning goal. He was bound to get one after the chances he had in the first period.

That's fair. I was thinking less about the impact of this specific ritual, if any, and more about the general camaraderie and team building. I may be wrong but I think the freedom to be silly like this as a team indicates the locker room has improved - that bodes well for the future, in my opinion.
