Zack Kassian - with a VERY long history of suspensions - got 2 games for horse collaring Tkachuk and pounding an unwilling opponent, including throwing him to the ice a few times. TWO!
Andersson gets 4 games with no previous history on an ill-timed hit in which Laine at least arguably lowered his body (and therefore his head) right into the hit. ZERO 'premeditation' or intent to injure.
For Andersson to have to miss the outdoor game is just insult to injury. It is simply idiotically ridiculous in my opinion.

If you want to send a message, make that hit and then be ready to face the consequences.
After the hit he turned his back to the play and then turtled when knocked to the ground.
Seems like an all around dumb move.

This kinda highlights the hypocrisy of the NHL, doesn't it? If it was actually about player safety/concussion concerns, there would be suspensions for punching a guy repeatedly in the head, especially if it involves an unwilling participant. The Kassian bit above is a great example, and that followed a series of hits that were within the rules.
Good by the NHLPA. Almost certainly this will get reduced to probably 3 so he can play next Sunday.
I dont know, they said Andersson's agent is pressuring the PA and the NHL to get his suspension reduced...
But ruh, roh! Andersson's Agent is....Claude Lemieux.
On the one hand he knows a thing or two about dirty hits, if theres any concern, but on the other hand I'm not sure he has a ton of credibility with the League concerning dirty hits.

lol I had no idea that was his agent. I can only imagine the eye-rolling from Betman during the upcoming conversation.
I don't know if his feet leaves the ice before he makes contact, but he is clearly launching up into the hit, and it's also apparent his feet are going to leave the ice whether he actually connects or not.
