All I can tell you is that if anyone loves Calgary and wants to win in Calgary more than anyone ever before in this history of this franchise - It's Craig and Ken King (Miss you).
He's a beautiful hockey mind. Conroy, identifies talent better than many of the old dogs and he can relate to all of these players and has the ability to be FFF. Firm, Fair and Fun.
He pushed for Johnny, Philips, Zary, Pelt and Schwindt. He lobbied for Kylington when nobody else was. He supported Ramus early in his career when he struggle with Fitness the list goes on and on what he's done unnoticed.

Friedman speculating Nonis and Iginla will be a part of this. Regarding Iginla specifically it was "it is expected that Jarome Iginla will be a part of the organization at some point" (paraphrase)
Said the Head Coaching hire will be a "search" and noted Mitch Love, Kirk Muller, and Alex Tanguay by name.
Now that Conroy is happening, I'm just shifting to ABKM. Anybody but Kirk Muller...and am hoping for Mitch Love.

Did he not just say that Iginla wanted to coach his son for another season?

Friedman also mentioned Love, Huska, Muller, Travis Green, and Alex Tanguay(!) as names for coach
Tanguay coaching Huberdeau would be... something

Against that competition for HC, Love has it in the bag.
Huska likely was tarnished in the eyes of the players from his work with Sutter. I think he’d be better suited to a HC job elsewhere. Everyone else is just terrible.

Care to unpack this for us? I’m curious to know what the players have told you.

Surprised no mention of Andrew Brunette for coach.

If he wants to come in as assistant sure. .500 record as HC unless you think the real coach is what Utica had for the years leading up to his NHL Job.

Of course it’s speculation but he was part of an unpopular coaching regime with some key players. As assistant coach, he likely had to back unpopular calls made by Sutter.
I’m just not sure that kind of continuity is what I want from the Flames.
