I have no problem with the suspension as long as it's a standard applied to all playoff teams league wide.
IMO the Dumba hit was quite late and should have been a game.
The Nosek hit is a very blatant elbow. He sticks it way out and targets Stall's head. Now Stall wasn't badly injured but that shouldn't affect the suspension. If Bunting's hit is 3 games (plus match penalty) Nosek's should be 2 games since he received no punishment in game. I will wait and see but I'm not optimistic.

That seems hefty for his first ever enforcement action (fine or suspension).
Wish they would have taken that harsh line with Benn in the playoffs last year.

What the what?
When Benn pokes at Magni through the net?
That isn't even remotely close to the same thing.

You are missing one critical differentiating fact.
Staal was eligible to be hit. Cernak was not.
Nosek should get discipline, but comparing Bunting to Nosek is not appropriate in justifying supplementary discipline.
One was a dirty hit, the other was a cheap shot. Not the same thing.

So I'm assuming you are saying the Nosek flying elbow is just a dirty hit? No, it's a cheap shot. It's a blatant elbow to the head. That's not a hit in any shape or form. Staal had the puck though. So that's why if Bunting gets 3 (+ match penalty in the 2nd which pretty much iced the game) Nosek should get 2 by the standard set.
A dirty hit would be the Dumba hit. It's a hockey hit but late with the intent to injure.

Would make for a better product if they would just let the guys play and call only the really bad ones.

It’s wild how poor the officiating has been yet again.
Crazy.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a goal on a delayed double minor penalty before. It only makes sense Stamkos still has the single penalty, but it's a new one for me I'm pretty sure.

I will always maintain you should still get the PP if you score on a delayed penalty.

I think so too. Additionally, I wouldn't mind seeing a penalty wiped off the board when a short-handed goal is scored.

The skill level of this game on both sides would not be out of place in the finals, except for Samsonov. He's not looking like he's in the same class as Vasilevskiy.

So, think they miss Cernak & Hedman?
Also....do we see Elliott?

If they choose to pull Vasilevskiy, the score will be even worse for them.

Vasilevskiy has been amazing. Knies looks great out there. Could be a steal of a player!
