Nazem not only getting worse but also going soft sucks
I get it's been a tough year for the group, but he's capable of so much better
No fire. Beer league intensity
At least he can reminisce about last spring while he toils into the obscurity of washed up has beens
Dude sold out when he signed his retirement contract. I thought he was a competitor who wanted to repeat. He really had me sold

Oof this team is just bad.
For the love of god just put Huberdeau with Lindholm and Toffoli. Put Kadri with Mangiapane and Dube on the 4th line because they are all awful.
Dube is a third liner at best, I don't care if he goes on streaks now and again, he shouldn't be anywhere near our second line. Plays die on his stick.
Kadri. Wow. Gave the Yotes a breakaway, caused the short handed goal, and was out there for OT. He makes terrible decisions, doesn't use his linemates, he's been awful.
Mangiapane might be my most hated Flame at this point. I'm not really sure what he does. He tries hard I guess. If there were points for shooting it directly at the goalie he'd be running away with the scoring title.
Pelletier seems to be doing all the right things for the most part, but he's not top line material. At least not at this point in his career.
I thought Huberdeau made some things happen. Still has to be better.
Walker Duehr should replace Dube on the 2nd line. At least he does things out there.

At this point I'm more concerned about a new hire over Treliving. Careful what is wished for.

Shooting it directly at the goalie, passing it into feet, spending half the time on the ice and just shockingly bad LOW iq plays, like his 1 on 3 attempt in OT, the guy is a mess.
I just can't believe how much lack of skill is on the team. You watch other teams either use speed or precision puck movement to generate quality chances and or get the puck out of dicey situations, and every time I watch this team its the complete opposite. Just perimeter play, turned over pucks because they can't control it or make a tape to tape pass, lack of speed all over the ice, just a hot mess every which way you think about it.
I also don't want to hear about the shot clock either. Obviously it means nothing when they just set the record for outshooting opponents 10+ and losing. Soft, slow, perimeter, old a$$ team.
15th place here we come, but hey always next year to hope for a fluke run right?

I've liked where Tre's line of thinking was with a lot of his moves. I think he had the right ideas given the cards he was dealt, which have sucked
And he's reliable with making good trades for the most part
His biggest misstep was the fixation with unproven coaches
It's too bad ownership had to put their guy in as opposed to him just nailing down a good veteran coach before it got to that point where they had to step in
Sadly the MO from up high was to push for playoffs now. I'd like to see what treliving would do with full autonomy and no pressure to compete now, especially right after gaudreau bolted
If he was allowed to just accumulate assets and focus on drafting well in 2023 we would probably be laughing in 2-3 years

What a joke. Have they given up in the room? Inexcusable to lose to another tanking franchise. Oilers fans are just laughing. I’m not sure how it’s possible for a team who is on its last legs and should be absolutely desperate to lose to such an awful roster. But yet get a point to guarantee we don’t finish too low in the standings. What a terrible season, most frustrating in years. I was so hyped about kadri coming here. He needs a serious kick in the *ss. Meanwhile the cup parade is being planned up north for the one trick pony up there.
Bottom line is kadri and Huberdeau are not tkachuk and gaudreau. Retool for next year and my Stanley cup this year will be mcpoints and his sad sack of coattail riders being destroyed in the playoffs.

Embrace the suck. And embrace to totality of the suck as it will engulf draft weekend.
Honestly can't wait for the season to end at this point. It's a wash out season. Not going to lament it any longer. Not going to hope for a lotto win either.
Flames don't get nice things.
Looking forward to next season. Even if they do make the playoffs.

Treliving GMs for the present or recent past. Needs GM that can forecast the future better.
Sutter should be unequivocally fired.

I give you... the meritocracy line up
Huberdeau - Lindholm - Toffoli
Pelletier - Backlund - Coleman
Ritchie - Lewis - Duehr
Mangiapane - Kadri - Dube (TOI: 9 minutes)
Press box: Lucic

Such an average team. Can’t win. Can’t lose right either.
1 point farther away from a lottery ball.

Sutter at his best is a great coach who’s able to get the best out of his players and get them to commit to how he wants them to play which usually lead to great results. But right now we’re witnessing his decline
He’s clearly not motivating most of the guys, his line combinations and usage have been bad. Rolling 4 lines doesn’t work with a team that doesn’t have 4 solid lines they can roll consistently. Giving your most skilled players 14 minutes a night and players like Milan Lucic 11-13 minutes a night is not a going to win you that many hockey games. I can understand the “rolling 4 lines” strategy in the playoffs, but you gotta get there first.
I will always respect Sutter for the great stuff he’s done for this franchise and the HOF career he’s had, but it’s obvious at this point that playing “his way” has hurt the team more this year than it’s benefited them

Ironically I think it was the owners that were cheap on coaches and wouldn't allow him to hire a proven coach, his biggest missteps were FA signings and his inability to identify and lock up our best young talent since Iginla.

It's been clear for a while that even by some miracle they made the playoffs, they would get bounced so fast it would be embarrassing. This team can't beat average teams consistently, they have NO chance against a decent team...stop with "anything can happen" that thinking has made this team the epitome of average.
Again, this team will land in no man's land and get an average player with an average pick.

I get the hate for Huberdeau, but at least the guy tries to be defensively responsible.
Can’t say the same for Kadri. For a guy with a reputation as a gritty, two-way forward he’s been an extreme disappointment. He might be the second-worst defensive forward on the team after Lucic.
