Huberdeau is dominant defensively and has been PPG in the last 9? He is clearly moving in the right direction

He scored in the game and in the SO tonight, only two that beat Allen

Ughh.. Just a team that can't get all the pieces working at the same time. Huberdeau gets a pp and shout-out goal. Markstrom is great... But the rest of the team handles the puck like a live grenade.

In other games, the opposite happens. Depth is there but goaltending or star players disappear.

Honestly though the season is far from over. If the dishes convert on 2-3 of those OTs no one on here is complaining.

But tell me again about Tre the wizard
Don’t forget Kulak, Shinkaruk, Bourque, Holland, and Tanguay. For Toffoli? Terrible trade. We got hosed.

Kadri (not tonight) is also moving in the right direction. The parity in the league is pretty intense. The Flames just need a little more out of everybody and more consistency.... That plus good goaltending more often.

I don't know much about the "system" Daryl uses but why couldn't one line play a more offensive style then the other lines? Would it be to complicated for the players to do this??

Lol. I’m failing for the trolling but if they don’t Kadri and keep Monahan then does the next trade or signing also get lumped in the Toffoli trade? Toffoli fit under the cap without trading away Monahan. Lucic or Coleman is the better signing to go after than Toffoli

I just can't believe the Flames gave up Gilmour and Toffoli was all they got back.

Ok never mind. You've changed my mind. Its ok they lost to Montreal twice and Columbus once in the span of 10 days. Clearly my expectations are too high to beat the leagues bottom feeders.

You know how they say you can tell when a team is going to turn it around and go on a heater? Yeah, this team doesn't have that feeling.

Full marks to Markstrom, stole a point.

I was excited for the strength of schedule correction. Not sure it's going to correct the way we hoped.

I'm worried that their play seems to be getting worse. When the wheels fell off after the hot start the team dominated games and found ways to lose. Now they're just finding ways to lose.

I don't know what to think. I let the pre season hype get to me. This feels like your Calgary Flames of the last 20 years. Maybe the squeak in, maybe they don't. Repeat.

Alas, they took it away. His shot hit Toffoli in the butt before Backlund gave Huberdeau the puck.

That, and I don't even see shootout losses as actual losses. It's a tie (especially in non-conference games), just blew the shot at a bonus point in a breakaway competition.

Huberdeau is moving in the right direction. Kadri not so much there is a lot more to his game that hasn't materialized yet. He had a hot start and it seems like his game has changed.

Nah. When Stajan scored the GWG in the playoffs to eliminate the Canucks I think it became safe to say we won that trade. It just took a while.
