Weegar-Tanev didn’t really seem to gel. That’s my big takeaway from the game. I thought Dube was the best Flame.

He also just joined the team today so give him a couple practices and time with the coaching staff.

Only saw the third. Flames carried the play but it was 0-4 in the preseason so that probably doesn't mean much.

Any reviews of the new guy? Saw a couple shifts and it looked like he can skate pretty well. It'll be good for him to get a practice in tomorrow and another preseason game then 5 more days of practice.

Dube was great, but he missed the net at least 3 times with high danger chances - he has to start hitting the net

As for the D, leave Hanifin-Andersson alone. Put Weegar and Zadorov together, and let Tanev carry Mackey

Hard to complain about the D pairs when the Flames gave up almost nothing 5 on 5.

3 pp goals and one where the Flames were on the PP and passed it back to the guy coming out of the box.

That being said they probably go back to the old pairs

the jets group looked like they have played together for years . the flames group looked like they've played together for two weeks

Gonna need a ton of patience to start the year. Lines with good pairs will be better once the season starts and then progresses a bit.

We still have to collect points early so that when we've gelled finally before playoffs we don't have to be worried like crazy if we can generate offense.

I'd anyone can get these guys playing better its Sutter.
