you honestly don't think the Flames would ditch Lucic's contract if they could? of course they would if it doesn't cost too much.

It is the unfortunate reality of post-apex high-dollar role players.
Love Looch and all and if he was more cost-effective I'd fight to keep him here, but if someone is willing to swallow his cap hit you get him on the plane.

I somewhat agree but Lucic was a non-factor vs Edmonton.
You could argue both he and Lewis were actually detrimental due to their lack of speed.

I don’t think they sent a “good night” message that night until the Tkachuk trade was official. Same thing when Huberdeau signed.

I know Lucic is really overpaid at this point of his career, but I have to say I'm a huge fan of the guy and have really enjoyed having him on the team. Always liked him since his Boston days. I hope he can return to the Flames in some sort of coaching role in the future.

I agree and I don’t think my opinion of a player has ever taken such a sharp 180 turn.
Looch has got to have been one of if not the most surprisingly likeable addition to our team.
I’d love to see him back in some capacity when he hangs up his skates.

I've enjoyed Lucic being here always wanted him here so a part of me just is sad to see this happen if true. I think he'll be missed greatly.
This summer has been interesting. We've had some changes for sure and more are likely coming.
The whole story behind Milan thinking about retiring prior to coming here and then Darryl rejuvenating him is the coolest part of the swap .
Who'd have known it would work out like it did. I'm still laughing at Holland who likely thought this wouldn't have worked out as favorably as it did.
The next point of business will be putting that sshmarmy little weasel woodcraft in his place. I'm still seething at his waiting for his handshake at the gate after our elimination.
Just the way he went about it I mean who does that. I might have jerseyed him with his suit jacket and just started going to town with uppercut until I couldn't lift my arms any more.
Man we have to pound them into the ground this year....my hate for the oil has re blossomed.
