Coleman caught unaware - could've picked up Duchene (who would've been a threat to receive the puck by a pass as well), instead floated to the middle covering empty space.

Nevermind the lack of prime chance to be taking the body on the original shooter, Backlund didn’t even have a basic stick check on the guy who had two chances to get a shot. He just got out of the way.
