The Stars and Predators each losing is good news for many western teams.

The Blues are ramping up their play of late, they are 7-2-1 in the past 10 games. They crushed the Islanders 6-1 and that was the score after 2 periods. Faulk and Thomas each had 3 points. Binnington was in net for the Blues and had a good game making 30 saves. Neither team scored on the PP with the Blues going 0/4. Coach Trotz threw a stick on the ice to get the referees' attention to call a timeout. The officials were never looking or listening to the Isles bench as they were banging their sticks on the boards. They were given a bench minor penalty.

The Capitals win over the Penguins puts the Capitals just 4 points back of them and with 2 games in hand and 6 back of the Lightning.

Now we weigh the pros of Vegas swooping in and putting the boot to the Oilers in the first round with the potential cons of playing a $100M roster should be best our own 1st round opponent.

How will VGK manage to activate Stone? This will get very interesting down to the wire.

Maybe because they would have to admit a lot of other things too.

Oiler fans always get cocky after a winning streak before eventually getting burned so hard. It's pathetic. Looking forward to the "closest sweep ever" proclamations like last year. PATHETIC

Nah, I’ve been here awhile, longer than my sign up date may suggest. Many on here complain when oilers fans come out after a win, I’m here after a loss, or half loss anyways. But I know when my team played well, and they played well last night, real well. Does it mean I think they’ll win the cup, well no, but it does give me hope they could make some noise in the playoffs. Of course time will tell.

Flames have more regulation wins, wins that would be wins in the playoffs

This is special.

Are you related to international villager?

We have more wins and more regulation wins, so I don't even know what kind of gymnastics you sore losers are doing up there to try to soothe your inferiority complexes but you're still behind in either universe you want to live in.

We'll make sure to polish our divisional crown with your tears in a couple weeks.

I’m not arguing the point of who’s better. The flames may very well be the better team this year and the standings prove that. My point is the complete lack of respect as hockey fans, you have for the oilers as a team, which is 18 games over .500. Every night it’s an excuse about refs or back to backs, i mean every team has this and it’s a long season. The schedule isn’t made for the oilers. Do you think Betteman wants an Edmonton team in the finals? Alberta teams don’t sell in the US, so to suggest that betteman has loaded the schedule in Edm’s favour is not being realistic.

Sure, then there are some who pretend to be Flames fans. There are good reasons they might not admit it. Not hard to understand why you are cheering for your own team.

Yes, I somewhat concede you guys have been a better team thus far, more consistent anyways, but the oilers are getting better and they’ve picked up some guys that are helping. I’m no bold predicted, just see what i see in front of me and simce woodcroft took over this team has been pretty good overall.
