The Canes look terrified of Looch.

Lucic is awesome. That trade has actually worked out well and I’m glad he’s a Flame

Kylington is handling the puck like it’s a grenade tonight

It's a good fit on the Flames. In fact it's a good fit for both teams, Neal fit seamlessly with the No-Goods... now his cap space does as well, 2M until 2024-25 that's a wonderful fit.

I’m digging what Ruzicka has brought so far.

He just made a great breakout pass though splitting 2 Canes up the middle.

I wonder if he might have a minor nagging injury after he missed the gameday skate vs SJ but still played.

Definitely doesn't look out of place. Big kid, too.

20 minutes to go. Need the top line to find another gear.

Otherwise, pretty even game from two similar teams.

Know what I haven't seen virtually all season? A vintage Backlund puck carry through the middle of the ice. Not sure if it's systemic (given Monahan and Lindholm's weakness in that area) but Backlund isn't doing the thing that's made him most effective.

No real complaints about anyone. Very tight checking both ways. A little taste of our own medicine:

That was the worst period of hockey I’ve ever seen.

And I don’t mean worst for the flames, nice we tied it. Worst in terms of smooth hockey. That was a terrible period for execution. The guy who counts giveaways has run out of pencil lead.

Newsflash: Two best defensive and checking teams in the NHL.
