This team has played quite well from the first puck drop and the rewards are now coming.

They should be, but will they? Nope. There are more than a few conspicuously absent posters this past week.

Those NYR fans are sure down on Zibanejad, eh? Not real keen on Gallant either.

Just noticed that every team in the Metropolitan division is above .500. So I went looking for who's taking the losses... CHI, ARI, SEA, LAK, VGS are a combined 3-22-4
Yikes.

Pretty close to a 60 minute effort. Impressed with the pushback after the Rangers scored their first goal. The Flames of old would have continued to sat back and collapsed try to protect the lead.
Really impressed with Mangipane, Coleman, and Markstrom. Tanev, Goodbrandson and Kylington were really solid too.
Hopefully they can keep it rolling.

The moment the Flames lose a game, the Treliving Needs To Go thread will be bumped again.

Flames could play blindfolded and still make the play-offs.

Late to the party but man what a game. Living in Vancouver and didn’t get home to watching it until around 6 and my god!! What a game!! Mangiapane is on fire and I’m loving everything Coleman brings. Easily our best 2nd period of the year and most complete 60 mins to date. If this is the brand of hockey we can get used to seeing I’m excited to say the least! Bring on the Devils!

Backlund has driven me to drink. Some days he looks so lazy like he can't wait to get to the beach and other days he is mean and engaged and scores beauties.

I *loved* the start! Both teams came out rocking!! Lots of good chances, but great D work on the Flames side and some high potency goalkeeping. I think that got them off on the right foot and they just carried it right along from there.
Everyone looked motivated and focused tonight. Some a little more than others, but still on the same page.

Game Takes: Flames 5 Rangers 1
- Coleman with a goal and an assist
- Tanev/Kylington fancy stat beasts
- Markstrom rock solid and the undertold story

Honestly it’s his playing style. He is a very smooth player, so when it’s good it looks like ridiculous skill but when it’s bad it looks like he isn’t putting the effort in.

I wonder when Kylington is going to get rewarded with some powerplay time.

Odd that Valimaki and Gudbranson both got PK + PP shifts while Kylington got neither?

I'm not upset by it, Kylington is killing it right now. Keep him doing what he's doing, take your time and then introduce those elements once he's solidified as a 5 on 5 defenseman
