In Rogers Place:
Edmonton has: 0 wins vs WPG 2021, 1 win vs CHI 2020, 2 wins vs SJ 2017, and 1 win vs ANA 2017. 4 total.
Calgary has: 3 wins vs WPG 2020, 2 wins vs DAL 2020. 5 total.
So if you count the play-in round, Calgary has more wins there than Edmonton.
Now, Oilers fans will say the play-in round doesn't count but they'll also claim they made the playoffs last year as well so...

That is the reasonable counter I had. Hawks don’t really have a goalie so they take Kostkinen back to balance things out. The Oilers fan was not having it saying it will be Neal if they want to dump Keith. I think the Hawks would rather pay Seattle to take Keith off their hands rather than take on Neal and his bigger contract.

A 40 year goaltender is all that is propping things up in the crease. Just scream sustainable.
On a one way train to mediocreville and Connor wants off it.

Yeah, there isn't much coming down the pipe. Bouchard was draft in 2018. The Oilers don't have the luxury of waiting 3 or 4 years for prospects to pan out. If that trend continues, the Holloway and any future picks won't be much help when McDavid is in the final year of his 8 year contract. That is, if he is still in Edmonton.

I contend this is the last season for McDavid in Edmonton. They experience some success or he's going to demand a trade out. They just don't have the cap or availability to talent to get to the level McHobo is hoping for, so I think he pulls the plug and doesn't waste any more of his career. At that point, the rebuild is on again.

Really funny that if you confronted one of them about this they'd either have to side with the play-ins counting and the Flames therefore possessing more Roger's place home wins than them or that they only made the playoffs for the 2nd time in 15 years with an embarrassing sweep that took their season 5 days longer than the Flames season, while the Flames put up more wins than they did after the conclusion of the season.
Either way, oodles of No Goodness to be found.
Team is such an embarrassment any way you slice it. All while sitting on two top three scorers. That's generational ineptitude right there.

Mavi is asking out the moment his NMC kicks in. He needs to diminish his trade value a bit so his next destination isn't Edmonton South. LAK or NYR or bust.
If things aren't going well next year he could/should introduce some injury doubt.

Stupid Fox ends up in Edmonton. Hilarious.

They won’t have any need for Fox with two time Norris winner Duncan Keith.

I know a lot of Oilers fans don’t want this trade to happen, but virtually everyone in the know thinks it’s pretty much a done deal.

No doubt because the Oilers are the easiest team in the NHL to fleece.

I would love for the Oilers to trade Jones + 4th for Keith + 3rd with no retention and then be forced to buyout Neal and Kostkinen. The more dead money on the Oilers books the better. Having Keith and his full cap hit on the roster for 2 more years helps to limit their ability to make moves to improve.

And I love to see bonus penalties against the next year cap when the third best plus/minus is a negative and the player has already signed in Europe.
