I don't care if we grind out 2-1 games this way. It's so nice and stress free. Like a warm blanket.
Under Ward it felt more like the first Saw movie. Chained to the cold ground watching godawful hockey and seriously contemplating sawing your leg off just to get away.

this is, by far, the best hockey the Flames have played since that game two years ago against the Islanders when the Bennett-Jankowski-Czarnik line dominated.
Two whole years since they played this level of hockey.

There have been a lot of nice changes, but this is the biggest change. They are moving the puck out of the zone, and hitting people that are skating north (instead of standing still in the neutral zone).
Moving the puck forward is resulting in lots of o-zone time
Just better hockey
