Here in Canada, I think we are all fairly safe whether we are in a rural or city area.

In 2017, the crime rate was higher per capita by 23 percent in rural as opposed to urban areas - but the urban crime rate is higher.


But I live in a rural area, I have two hospitals within ten minutes of my house, and there is no crime here. YMMV of course, but not all rural areas are dangerous, and the numbers probably correspond to unemployment more than anything else.

I'm sick of not looking at this particular thread for only 2-3 days and suddenly getting 3-4 pages "behind" and trying to catch up. But hey, at least I have those snazzy "ChicMe" 20% off adverts on the right panel to look at.


To constructively add to the conversation:
Why do so many people assume that as of Jan 1st everyone has to have a list of resolutions and must-do things? Like suddenly THAT DAY you have to change your habits or whatever. What if you just want to do less, better?
