That team is super, super solid. I don't know much about the goalies, but the forwards are solid top to bottom and the defencemen are great too. Schneider, Guhle, Byram, Barron, Drysdale. That's a very good group of blueliners.
That just makes Zary and Pelletier making the team even better. They didn't just make the team. They made the team in a year where the players trying out were unbelievable. I mean, Zary beat out Jarvis. That's impressive.

Forward lines are still a work in progress but two units that have been good and could remain intact include: Dylan Cozens between Connor McMichael and Kirby Dach; Alex Newhook between Dylan Holloway and Jakob Pelletier.

Lots of flexibility with multiple centres on the team who can also play wing but, for now, Quinton Byfield, Connor Zary and Ryan Suzuki join Cozens and Newhook as the listed centres.

LWs beyond McMichael/Holloway are Cole Perfetti and Jack Quinn. LWs released today included Jamieson Rees, Samuel Poulin, Mavrik Bourque, Greg Goncalves. RWs beyond Dach and Pelletier are Dawson Mercer, Peyton Krebs, Phil Tomasino. Seth Jarvis and Graeme Clarke just missed.

The last time 2 Flames picks made Team Canada was the 2016 tournament when Mason McDonald and Brandon Hickey were on the team.

This team is stacked, only 2 non-first rounder skaters.
Who going to be the starter, hopefully its the Calgary kid Gauthier.
Besides Zary and Pelletier for Flames, lots of Calgary area boys on the team; Krebs, Holloway and Gauthier.
