Flames can obviously still win, but games like this and the ones coming up against Tampa (obviously after the trade deadline) should really inform objective observers as to what the Flames should be doing with their UFAs before the trade deadline if it is a Stanley cup that the team is trying to win over the next 5 years and how close they are this year.

Foot off the gas or countered perfectly by the Bruins? TBH Boston wasnt really awake for the 3 ga. Gaudreau goal alone it was like he was moses parting the red sea. Dont think I've seen that defensive strategy before.

To everyone blaming this on Gio and Hamonic being out, riddle me this. How well was the team playing defensively with them in the lineup. Truth is it doesn’t matter who has been in the lineup. This team pays piss poor attention to detail in their own end of the rink. Been that way since the all star break last year.

That is fine from a fan point of view but the players see it differently. I have said it before, if you completely pull the rug on these guys playoffs hopes by selling off at the deadline you might as well trade the entire core in the offseason. You think Tkachuk is signing an extension in two years if the organization pulls that this year? He will be out of here.
