We use words like "class", "honour" and "code". Two weeks ago Kassian sounded like the marines in A Few Good Men.
Looks good on all those twits defending him.

Good to see he's admitting Tkachuk did nothing wrong then, I guess.

I would like to here what Jason Strudwick, Scottie Upshall, PJ Stock and all the other mouthbreather ex-players have to say about their boy today? In Particular Upshall because I want to see his spin on Kassain showing Cernak it's "still a MANS game". These clowns picked the wrong player to defend.

But it would work, assuming his goal was to prove his diminished capacity.

Its been pretty universally panned, as it should be, and will likely result in 8+ games I hope. Doesn't really change the other incident though. Seems like a silly comparison.

If the suspension is less than 15 games it is a huge fail by the NHL and the DOPS.

You don't think coming out of the woodwork to defend one of the most dangerous players in the NHL is a bad look? The fact is that he grabbed and face punched a player over and over that wasn't a willing combatant and got suspended for it. It was always a bad look for those players to defend Kassain and it simply looks worse today.

I can see suspension for sure, being Skinner got 2 games 7 years ago for a similar incident. Kassian will obviously get more due to a recent and prior suspension of recklessness. I’d say a 5-10 game verdict is sufficient.

if only kassian's last "meet and greet" with DOPS was in person he could go in to this meeting, sit down and comment that the seat was still warm.

If we learned nothing from the Tkachuk incident, it's that the NHL code preaches eye for an eye justice at the root of its "code". Therefore, the only reasonable solution would be for Cernak to kick Kassian.
Honestly, anyone in the media that defended this idiot a few weeks ago is off my list completely if they do not levy heavy criticism towards Kassian today.

It took tweets from Ferrero and Friedman to shut Staples and Spector up.

I'm not sure if Kassian is a psycho or if he's just too dumb to realize that there are blades on the end of his feet.

My guess is in the 6-9 range, but would love to see double digits on this one.

Is minimum 6 I believe, but should be 10.
Their roster is so bad that Kassian is intrgral to their success at the moment. Lol

I think they are going to throw the book at him. He clearly has lost control of his emotions. They should require a psychiatric evaluation prior to returning to the ice for the protection of other players in the league.
Holland should be reprimanded for rewarding him the last time he lost his head as well.

I know Kassian deserves a lengthy suspension but I would prefer Staples be suspended for 20+ games....
Having Kassian out might actually make the Oilers better based on how he has played since the Tkachuk thing.
