Oilers scored on pretty much the only mistakes the Flames made. Calgary missed a few dynamite opportunities. Calgary played an OK, but far from perfect game and still were the better team.

Oilers first two goals really shouldn't have happened

1st goal...Rieder tripped to create an icing call
2nd goal...offside play led to a bad penalty call

LOL!! My little schnauzer! He sat on his pillow tonight right when the OT started and I knew we'd win. <3

Bennett can be a very valuable player when he's engaged... his problem is consistency...

I get that you can't play that way every game, but the Flames need him to show up in the big games.

he did that tonight... hopefully, he'll be able to bring that again on Saturday

Maybe. I don’t recall that. But one play doesn’t make a game for me, like with Hamonic’s mistake that also contributed to a goal (along with Buddy). Overall, I thought both of those guys were good.

Kylington picked up his game a ton from last night. Hanifin was shaky as hell.

Kassian respects Tkachuk now. Everything good. BFFs. If they fight again, it will be with pillows.

NHL.com standings are ####ed.

They gave the Flames 1 point for that win. Math is hard?

You are basically asking him to cost us the game Kassian style, he’s too smart for that.
Wait what? I’m not saying any of that. Lucic was invisible and not very good. He doesn’t need to goon it up to have an impact.

I just dont get that mishap from Hanifin against Benning. Textbook misplay that as a kid, one is taught not to do, which is turn your skates towards the outside boards when in that zone of the ice. Any opposing player who sees that will know the inside is immediately open for a cutback, Benning didnt even have to make a special move.

Glad the team won tonight, but didn’t think the team was very good tonight, heavy legs maybe, but the Oilers definitely carried the play for 40-50 minutes.

Thank goodness for Rittich’s performance and Mangiapane for finally burying those beauties. Rittich is an absolute champ for that stick flip. Loved it.

Thought Hanifin was really bad though. Questionable questionable decision making, lack of detail especially with McDavid on the ice. Obviously getting schooled by Benning was also a pretty pathetic display. Personally, I’m not sure if he’ll ever figure this part out.
