Like, I know Keenan used to strap on the pads and get into during a practice, and obviously Brian and Arnasson, but I honestly don't know of any other examples.

Was Paul Baxter chuckin' knucks at the Roxy post game?

I once saved one of our guys from getting his ass kicked by Brubaker in the middle of a pub in Carolina when i was smaller than both of them...and i am not a small guy.

I realize things have changed around the game, so maybe that stuff doesnt happen as often, but fighting, even among teammates, used to happen all the time.

As for Baxter? I think he best be the one to answer that as I dont want to cross him. Likely still one of the toughest guys walking.

Those players ran themselves out of town....they were out of control and Holmgren had had enough of it.

Not NHL, but Tiger Williams used to own and coach a pro roller hockey team. A co-worker of mine played goal. If you pissed Tiger off he’d chuck you a pair of boxing gloves and you’d fight him. Naked in the shower room.

I'd give Huska a try. He's never had a losing record in all levels of coaching. He developed some of our younger guys already and it might be his time now.

Fired about 7 games into his season, so he’s rested and ready.

He's coaching Canada's entry in the Spengler Cup.

Yeah but weren't they instrumental in the kings winning the cup? And they just honored Carter the other day.

Weird things you don't expect to see on someone's Wikipedia page: "Canadian punk band Belvedere wrote a song about Joel Otto's career called 'Two minutes for looking so good'."

Yeah they were, but that doesnt have anything to do with Laviolette.

And remember...Carter was traded to Columbus who in turn dealt him to LA. They were not traded together.

I know hindsight is 20/20, but still can't believe we chose Peters over a guy like Barry Trotz...you get what you pay for.

Well Carter went to Columbus and pouted until he got traded to LA. Richards wasn’t exactly instrumental, he helped. And then he helped himself out of the league.

But really, they were toxic in Philly and they had to trade them.
