The team has never given projections, fans just speculated, maybe media too. But January would be absolutely best case scenario as that would only be 5 months. Since it sounded like it was a pretty significant tear I have my doubts that is realistic or we'd be hearing about him being on the ice already. I think 8 months is more likely which might have him back in the playoffs.

Luke Philp with another goal tonight. He moves into a tie for the team lead in goals, with 12.
He now sits in a tie for 12th in the AHL in goals, and one goal back of the AHL lead for rookie goal-scoring. I think he might be worth calling up soon, if the opportunity presents itself.

			Alan Quine, feelin' fine.
The Heat are playing San Jose this afternoon and Quine already has a hat trick just past the halfway mark of the second period.

Phillips also has a goal and the Heat lead 4-0. Gillies is in goal.

 ...

Nope, as I was typing, Gawdin scored too. 5-0 Heat late in the second.

They're not awful odds. He has a great shot and really good instincts. Solid playmaker. I'm not thrilled with his speed at times but he can keep up with the play rather easily.

Not sure about the 2nd line but he looks like an NHL player at this point. Valuable depth for the Flames.

Zagidulin looks to be struggling a bit after his first two starts. GAA is over 3 and under .900 about halfway through the year.
Hoping he can show some improvement in the second half. There are signs of a good goalie in the highlights I've seen.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to the raw stats. The defense in front of the net minders is not the greatest. I think with a decent defense in front of them you could easily add .015 to their SV%

Also, with 17 games for Zags and 14 for Gillies, it is an awfully small sample size for each of them still, we saw with Gillies a few games back that 1 terrible outing can really have a nasty impact on your stats. That one terrible start by Gillies has knocked his GAA up by 0.18 and his SV% down by .006. While that doesn't sound like much, .006 is the difference between being 12th and 24th in the AHL in SV%.

It's Gillies first shutout since he posted back to back shutouts on Jan. 13 & 17 of 2018

Czarnik is red hot, for a team struggling to score he needs to be given a chance in Calgary.
