If Smith lays an egg I think that will basically seal his fate for the remainder of the playoffs.
Yes he has been OK lately. Still 3 of his last 4 games he has posted sub .900 save percentages which is basically consistent with his performance all season. The odd decent game with the majority of his starts being well below average.
Personally I think starting Smith is a mistake but I understand it. I'll cheer my ass for him because he is a big part of this team and I want to see him succeed. I just have made my mind up on him and feel he should be the back up with Rittich getting the starts in the playoffs.

Ugh this is painful.
11:00pm starts are evil. The Flames finished first in the west, why do they have such a late start?!
I'm hunkered down on the couch, already back from the bar, and it's still another 40 minutes until game time.

Things I want to see tonight.
1. All Flames players acting like the refs dont exist. No lobbying for calls or crying at them. Just %100 focus on their game. Eliminate exterior distractions.
2. Stable calm outing for Smith. Challenging shots and not playing too deep.
3. Top line working their mojo. We have the matchup advantage. Take advantage of it.
4. The Bennett line crushing everything in sight.
