That combo could work, if you even out some ice time. The problem comes when you match Backlund against someone like McDavid who plays so much. Then the third line ice time suffers.
If someone like Dube develops into a good defensive forward, you could stick him with Backlund and Frolik as a shutdown line. I could also see Hathaway or Jankowski trying that role - Jankowski is decent defensively in open ice (not so much along the boards). Or Ryan Backlund Frolik.

Bennett is basically playing like a younger James Neal which makes Neal's slower start easier to deal with.

I'm really thinking Bennett will actually breakout very soon here. He was dominant and powerful on the ice and very smart. I see only good things coming form him. Lindholm is just such a pickup by Treliving.
