Girardi ends it.

Tampa with the stranglehold on the series.

I was cheering for Boston coming into this series, but I'm sick of Marchand and have no problem with them losing now.

I will let you and everyone else be their own judges, but I think a case can be made that he went down rather easily.

This is why I think it's a damn if you do and damn if you dont situation for the refs. There is no an in between call such as a centre ice faceoff. It was either a penalty or they had to let it play out.

The goal is what made this a really questionable call. No goal and most people would say it was a 50-50 call.

It’s a big stretch.
It barely fits the broad definition of assault, assuming we are in the real world, and not part of a game where guys are whacking others with sticks.

As for Marchand, while it’s a bit of a screw lose, and it’s of course a odd way to get under the skin of an opponent, but it’s more of a convienence and a stealth thing...in tight like that you can get arms up so he tries something else.

Marchand is a massive loser. Just an embarrassment. Even more embarrassing on the NHL and the refs to say they didn't see it when the ref is literally two feet away talking to the players. Is that suspension worthy? The low bridge should be. Dirty, cheap disgusting play and he should sit a game.

And I'm sorry, I didn't see a penalty on the Krug injury or McAvoy on the Stamkos goal. McAvoy could have easily skated out of that and chose to flop, he was barely touched. Krug lost his balance on the wide stance with minor contact. The non call on Backes last game was way worse. No sympathy for Bruins fans, this is what they want when it is their team doing it so I have no problem with what is happening. Refs have let a lot worse go this series so no reason to fix things now.

Spitting on a player would get you a penalty, maybe a misconduct, and generally beat up. And you would be a total pariah.

This is no different. His own locker room should absolutely take care of this.

I know you guys will say Oh poor you...

But I find it funny how Marchand was doing this exact same stuff to the Leafs and you guys and TSN thought it was great. Everyone was laughing. But now for some reason there is outrage.

Apparently he did this in the first round as well. It may already have been brought up or nobody wants to cause locker room issues during the playoffs.

I'd be willing to bet money that spitting on an opponent would be worthy of a suspension. Licking an opponent should be treated no differently.

I didn't watch much of the Leafs-Bruins series but if he did do that my reaction would be the exact same. It is an embarrassment and should have been treated no differently than spitting. I hope he or the Bruins were warned about the behaviour and they deal with the repeat seriously.

Yeah, they were. If they don't suspend him this time he should atleast be getting a fine.

Because Marchand enjoys assaulting people in whatever way he can. Guy is seriously ####ed up and needs professional help, no joke.
