Just hoping the new kid in net for the Isles remembers hes an AHL goalie before the end of this game. Flames just need to keep improving as the game goes.

Yes. I suppose some rust is expected but especially bad positioning and rebound control. Hopefully he closes the door the rest of the game as this team can't afford to lose any games breaking in rusty players.

It would be one thing if Hamilton looked lazy and didn’t get phenomenal results, but his results are phenomenal. I think some players think the game at a higher level so their play looks effortless. Granted, Hamilton has had a number of gaffs in his young career. However, in general, I think Hamilton is an elite young defenseman and Gulutzan needs to play him and Giordano a ton if the Flames are to make the playoffs.

I could be in the minority. But, God i hate Hometown hockey and everything that is put on for me to watch. From the bad music to the picking of three stars from kids(who I couldn’t care less about their own minor hockey stories). I have zero interest in this.
The kids they interview, I don’t care who your idol is. Why you play and what kind of playing style you have. Spare me the minor Hockey details.
I want game analysis for the flames. That’s it.

I'm not so sure Smith is really to blame for two of those goals.
-clean face off loss by Jankowski, no fwd to pressure point shot. Leddy has all day to pick corner through traffic. Off the post and in.
-Great shot pass by Boychuk to Eberle
CGY needs to up the work rate. They need to win more battles. Give NYI credit as they are playing well.
However don't get the sense that CGY wants it or needs it more. Get the D activated and handle the damn puck.

I'll give Rogers some credit for trying something. I don't think it's that bad given it's a Sunday and all and it gets people out in the communities they visit. Since RSN got the NHL I've been tuning out of intermissions and only watching the games anyway and I assume I'm not alone.
